Golf after a vasectomy??
blaylock6502 replied to blaylock6502's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
I got sample containers to take home and bring back in! I have to take in two samples a couple of weeks apart the first being around 12 weeks. Maybe I am abnormal but it looks to me they gave me the horse specimen containers by mistake! I couldnt fill one up in a year. I was told that it doesnt matter how many times u "go" because at 12 weeks whatever didnt get flushed out will no longer be swimming! -

Ive been working on not trying to overdo the back swing and keeping my knees bent but my clubface is still open at impact and im not sure y. I feel like its because I am sliding forward instead of opening my hips and my wrists are a problem. If this were your swing how would you approach it and what would you address first? -

Maybe im not slowing down as much as swinging the way I should. Just not trying to kill the ball. I have had a couple of very short lessons and been told that I have a strong grip. Looking straight down the shaft I can see at least two knuckles and my left thumb is at about 1:30 to 2 o'clock. I just had a vasectomy yesterday so I have spent the morning calling around asking about lesson rates. -

So should I be trying for a very inside out swing path or the flatter the better? -

I had a feeling it was because I was trying to hit it was too hard! And looking at my my swing videoat impact to me it looks like there is too much bend in my right arm and wrist and the outside of my left wrist is facing the the target instead of the top or logo on my glove ive that makes sense. I think I am gettin the club to the ball by sliding my hips forward. Keep in mind these are the ramblings of a man knows next to nothing about golf. -

The main things I notice that I think cause my slice is sliding my hips forward and the club releases too late if at all.? Any thoughts or suggested drills? -

what can I gain from a new set of irons

Thanks alot guys! All of your input is greatly appreciated. After a trip to the driving range yesterday I have a feeling I shouldnt even be touching a club without a coach or camera there! I feel like im picking up even more bad habits every time out :( -

I dont think it is going to work out with my current coach unfortunately. I feel like he is treating me like I have much more experience than I really do. I feel like we are working on things that are far too advances especially when I dont know the fundamentals of what is supposed to happen in a golf swing. I told him the other day I may be better served spending more time practice swinging without a ball because I feel the swing path and find it easier to concentrate on the the things I should be focusing on and he thought that was silly. What are your thoughts ? -

I have slowed way down over the past couple of weeks and seen alot of improvement! In your opinion is work done on an iron swing transferrable to a driver? The reason I ask is my iron swing feels very natural and fluid (although it probably isnt) and my driver feels very forced and foreign. ? Usually if I play my irons well I slice badly off of the tee and if I drive somewhat consistantly I top the ball with my irons.? Any thoughts? -

I am a sucker for shiny things but not when its a difference of 400-500 dollars! Im just doing research and would like to feel confident in what is to me a big purchase! I would like to think the tight lies would be a good choice but going by the old saying you get what you pay for I dont know how much I would get out of a brand new driver I can buy on ebay all day for 25 dollars which is what led me to ponder buying piece piece. As ive said my game is not deserving at this point but I want to avoid spending 500 on a club set I could "outgrow" fairly quickly. -

Thanks for the input guys! I have been working with a coach and plan to get fitted I just wondered with a decent repeatable swing what do I stand to gain from a 700 dollar set of irons vs a 300 dollar set? -

I have only been playing for a few months with a cheap set of clubs thag was given to me. I cracked the driver so I went out and bought a cheap used ping. I am considering an upgrade but not sure which way to go. I was talking to a salesman (im sure helping me was not his only motivation) at a locally owned golf store and he said if I were to upgrade he would recommend an entire set like an adams tight lies. Ive been going back and forth between that and upgrading piece by piece. I was looking at iron sets and I was curious what if anything I can expect to gain by upgrading irons. I would like to think on my good days I play my irons well but I definitely have my off days. I wouldnt think this inconsistency would change with different irons but please feel freeto correct me if I am wrong.? Also what is your take on hybrids? Should I consider adding one or two before upgrading others? Right now I have my ping driver all other clubs are ram fx gold Including 3 and 5 fw woods 3-9 Iron pw and lw. I dont feel my game is deserving of better clubs at this point just doing some research for future purchases and dreaming purchases! Thanks in advance for your input and feel free to let me know what you carry! -
