I told him what I had through and he agreed that being play the rest of the year with what I have and try to find some consistency in my swing then move to an intermediate set (Adams tight lies) and upgrade when needed down the road. When you buy a set like The tight lies I have noticed yo yo III cannot buy the clubs that are in the set separately does that indicate inferior quality?

I forgot to mention that I plan to play the summer/fall with what I have and possibly make a move this winter.

I have only been playing golf for a few months but I love it. My buddy gave me a set of ram clubs that are probably close to ten years old and they were a set from target. I destroyed the driver and bought a used ping to get me through the year and until I hopefully find a consistent swing. While I was talking to the fitter I asked about what club he would upgrade next. He advised me that instead of upgrading a piece at a time he would recommend a "transitional" set and pointed me to the Adams tight lies set. They seem to be pretty reasonably priced with good reviews. Would you update piece by piece or go with a complete set? Thanks!

I found a driver. I'm sure I overpaid but it was worth it for all of the information I got from the gentleman that helped me. I hit several used clubs and a couple of low end used clubs. I ended up setting on a ping rapture with what looks like a new Nike sq dymo stiff shaft. The club head has a few scuffs on it but I looked at it kinda like a used car. I'll let someone else pay the premium price and I'll take it when you're done! I really enjoy hitting it so I guess thats all that matters!

This one is a little faded which I don't care about and the top pockets are worn I'm guessing from riding on a cart the vertical threads are still there but the horizontal ones are worn through so smaller things like tees and diversity tools find their way through so I'm gonna try to get some iron on denim patch and put it on the inside

I am trying to develop my swing as a newbie and had a few questions. I feel like my backswing isn't coming back far enough and being new to the game I don't know it really isn't or if it is in my head. I am a technician and have my arms above my head for much of the day so I have fairly large shoulders. If my Baldwin really is falling short are there any stretches I can do or will it come with time. I was going to post a video of my swing (please hold the laughter to a minimum) and was wondering what angle would be best? Also are the general mechanics of a driver swing and iron swing the same? Thanks in advance!

ThanK's I'm gonna take a trip to the local fitter tomorrow and they say they have a large selection of used drivers so well see what happens! Thanks to everyone for the input! I grew up in the middle of nowhere hunting and fishing and assuming golfers were all snobs. That couldn't be further from the truth! The game is extremely fun and aside from a few exceptions all of the players have been extremely nice and helpful. I am a member of an archery and Jeep forum and you guys are the nicest and most helpful group of people I have found on any forum so Thanks again and sorry for all the years of assuming!

Yeah I had a coworkers husband offer me what I thought was a really nice burner 460 with heavier for 50 a couple of days past and I asked if I could take it to the range and try it out and the price magically jumped to 100! Thanks for the link oldblu! I had done sone research and the most recommended club for beginners was the g20. Is the g10 similar?

Im not too proud it cleaned up nicely and is a lot easier to keep organized than my old stand bag

I have looked at global golf and found some very reasonable stuff just didn't know what I was looking at to be honest. As I said just trying to find something decent to get me far enough to develop an opinion about what I like/dislike and what I think I need because at this point it's a shot in the dark! As far as online stores that sell used drivers are most of them fairly accurate with their description of the condition? Are there any online stores you have had trouble with that you would recommend I steer clear of?

Did you pick up swing speed with time and experience? And if so Did that call for a different t driver? My approach at this point is slow and easy working on proper mechanics and worry about power later.? Is this the proper way to approach it?

I am a healthy 29 year old so I'm guessing I would want a stiff flex.? Should I look for regular flex? Stiff? Extra stiff? Also what about loft? Should I try to stay around 10.5?

Wow now I'm very lost! I have no idea what I want or need! I guess my main thing would be something that is friendy to beginners. I have heard you can demo stuff at dick's sporting goods and they will analyze your swing.? Will this help me figure out what I want/need? And I'm sure my swing is flawed so as my swing changes will I need a different driver? Thanks again

I posted a thread on how I think my ram driver a friend gave me is cracked. I hit a few balls tonight and it definitely is. I have only played a few ttimes but am extremely addicted. I hate to sink a lot of money in a driver not knowing if I'll stick with it or how much I'll be able to play having three kids! So my question is should I buy a big name driver that's a few years old and used or buy a cheaper new one? If a cheaper new one does anyone have any recommendations? At this point I plan to upgrade next year just looking to get through the summer! Thanks!

There is some clearcoat or sticker or something coming off on the top but the spot I'm concerned with is just above where face meets the top and there are lines running parallel with the top of the face. Again not a very good pic. Sorry

A coworker offered to sell me this driver. I am new to the game and not sure if it's worth the fifty bucks he's asking. When I Google search taylormade burner a lot of different images come up and I didn't know if they were changes over the years or just different models.
