  1. Who has shortened the length of their driver shaft and what effect did it have. Struggling with consistency with my f9 driver but hit my 3 wood well so I am thinking about taking an inch or inch and half off. Reading online this seems to cause a swing weight change, but how noticeable is this. I dont want to be adding lead tape to the head or spending even more money on heavier weights which are a nightmare to get hold of in the uk.
  2. It was a display set with upgraded multi compound grips.
  3. I have just picked up a set of tp cb irons from my local pro shop who is an approved Taylor Made dealer. Just looking at the serial numbers on the hosels to register them and they are all different. Any ideas which one I use to register. If it's any help the number on the 5 iron seems in a little different type of 'font'. The numbers and letters seem a little squarer looking than the other irons. Anybody else got a set (4-pw) with different numbers on each club[IMG][IMG] [/IMG][/IMG]
  4. Not 100 percent sure but I believe my launch angle was around 16-17 degrees and spin rates approx 2800-3000. Regarding smash factor I'm really not sure. He did mention that I swept up on the ball quite a lot hence setting it to 8 degrees. What effect would adding a heavier weight in the head have. I believe the plastic one weighs around 7g but there are aftermarket weights available.
  5. I think your right about me not mentioning the feel of the club, but this was my first fitting and didn't really know what I wanted. I believe the fitter only tried the regular as this was what was in my last driver. My clubhead speed is probably at the lower end of stiff high end of regular so with hindsight I should have definitely tried both. As I mentioned I loved the feel of the jetspeed so was looking for a shaft with similar properties to the matrix velox t fitted to the jetspeed as standard. As regards to loft I think a mid launch shaft would suit as I do hit the ball fairly high, but I I don't want to be struggling to get the ball in the air. I know I'm being rather vague but I'm not really clued up on this kind of thing.
  6. Any suggestions on a new shaft for my g30 driver. I love the way the club looks but I feel like I have very little control or feel of the club throughout my swing. I was fitted for the club and my ss measured at an average 95 mph. It was recommended that I get the standard ping regular shaft and get a 9 degree head set to -1 to create 8 degrees of loft due to my angle of attack, but after always using stiff shafts and trying my mates jetspeed (which I loved) fitted with a stiff I am beginning to regret not even trying the stiff at the fitting. The vast majority of my drives seem to be left of target, any recommendations for a good value shaft
  7. Does anyone know how to delete previous rounds on the tour pro s320. Just thinking it must take up some memory that is just a waste. Or does it only keep a certain amount of rounds. Can't find anything on the user manual, just only how to put scores in.
  8. I currently have a vrs covert tour driver. After seeing all the hype around TaylorMade's loft up campaign I was wondering if the same principles applied to the tour driver. I only ask this as all the reviews of my driver say that it is a low spin and has a weight positioned further forward than the performance vrs driver. Any thoughts?
  9. Currently have the vrs 9.5 driver standard fubuki shaft stiff flex. Was getting high launch angle minimum 15 degrees and high spin numbers high 3.5-4k. Swing speed was around 100 mph once warmed up. I tried the 913 d2 with rip phenom shaft which gave me a nice flight but I didn't like the feel of the driver itself.
  10. I am in the market for a new driver. I love the look of the covert tour driver but am worried about how difficult it will be to hit, and also the red cobra encore but Because I hit the ball so high I want something to try and keep it down a bit. Any thoughts/suggestions much appreciated.
