Although it's not as much fun as playing with someone else, I play 2-3 times a week by myself. I think it's better to play with someone else as it puts a bit of a competitive edge on the game and that's a good way to improve your game. I'm a bit of a hacker, but about once a fortnight I have a hit with a couple of mates who are PGA pros and I always seem to play better. But, at the end of the day it's all about getting out and having some fun, so if like me you can't always find someone to have a hit with then get out and belt the little white sucker by yourself. Just be honest with yourself and count every shot!

Hi, Anyone know when the TaylorMade SLDR Fairways are going to be released in Australia? Noticed they have been released in the States.

Thanks guys for your insight and tips. I'm comfortable with my hybrids at present and will stick with them until I gain a bit more confidence.

I'm a 14 handicapper and have been using 3, 4 and 5 hybrids in lieu of the longer irons for about 12 months because I just don't feel comfortable with the irons. I have been told by my "expert" mates that I should go back to using the longer irons as you have more shot making options available. I currently TaylorMade RBZ Max irons which have the wider sole so as far shot options are concerned I'm reasonably restricted. Given todays technology, can someone in the know tell me what I could do with an iron that I can't achieve with a hybrid? Other turning to Blades of course.
