  1. Go used.... Use me for instance....when i first started regularly golfing about a year and a half ago i bought the top flite xl ti set......not a bad set but club quality was so - so and it didnt come with everything that i needed..... I then bought a brand new taylor made rbz hybrid/iron set however i pieced together my wedges, driver, and putter with used stuff. Driver- taylormade rbz 50 bucks at pgatourstore 51 deg a wedge.....Nike forgot the type but that was 35 bucks 55 deg s wedge.....cobra trusty rusty 35 bucks 60 deg l wedge.....cobra trusty rusty 35 bucks all at golfsmith Taylormade rossa monza spyder putter 40 bucks at golf galaxy every one of those clubs barely looked like they were used for more than 2 swings......buying pre owned is something where you need to shop around and every once and while you will strike gold.....i highly recommend golfsmith or golf galaxy if you have them in your area.
  2. Thanks guys, appreciate the advice so far. Will take all into consideration.
  3. Hello All, I just recently (last fall) starting getting into golf again. I golfed as a kid (16 and younger) but nothing in the recent years. I am now 26 and I really started enjoying playing the sport when i went to a course out here in Long Island NY with three of my buddies. I am unaware of my handicap but i usually shoot around 120 on your normal 18 hole course. I had a set of Top Flite XL-TI clubs which came as a set. I recently upgraded my clubs last month to the following and I wanted to get everyones opinion on if they felt my bag is pretty much "complete" for the time being. The Good Stuff: Taylormade RBZ driver Cobra AMP 3 wood Taylormade RBZ 3 hybrid Taylormade RBZ 4 hybrid Taylormade RBZ 5i-PW Nike VRS AW Cobra Trusty Rusty 55 deg SW Cobra Trusty Rusty 60 deg GW Rossa (Taylormade bootleg?) spider putter The Small Stuff: Callaway Hyperlite 3.5 bag Golf balls consist of anything from bridgestone to callaway, etc etc. Have enough tees that i seem to lose or break routinely. Have a divot repair tool and ball marker as well as a nike glove and a brush/towel for cleaning the clubs. Does anyone feel as though I am missing anything? I use my cellphone (swing by swing golf app) as a GPS which works nicely. My short game and putting is actually pretty good for a "beginner", however my original "drive" off the tee can use some more work. Thanks
