  1. Does anyone know the current firmware version? If you download a course will it automatically update the firmware? If it does, does it prompt you or does it just update? Also, I am giving another 'shout out' for this thing. I have used it over 10 times in a little over a month and have not had ANY issues (knock on wood). Also, it is so nice to download courses you only plan on playing once or so for free. Just off of basic mode, a person in my foursome last week went out and bought one. I didn't have time to show him Pro Mode. He is in for a treat when he sees that. In my opinion this device can't be beat.
  2. I called tech support last week about an issue (time wouldn't sync, I had it in preview mode and it didn't acquire satellite. It has to be in play mode) and while I had them on the phone I asked about these features and he told me that they are in the final testing of the final build and it should be soon. I just bought it last week and LOVE IT. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a top notch GPS.
  3. I think I am going to buy a Tour Burner today and I want to know if I should keep the stock shaft in it. Ideally what should I do? I hate spending 299.00 on a club and then another 100.00 to have a shaft put in it. How is the stock stiff shafts in these clubs? Swing speed 100-110mph. I was thinking about going with the L4V, but everyone I have talked to LOVES the Tour Burner. Thanks
  4. Great info guys! Thanks so much for the help. I am going to go today and talk to the Golf Shop by my house and see what they think and maybe hit the launch monitor. Thank you for educating me before I go, so I know the right questions to ask.
  5. So my best bet would be to Demo and buy a new driver? Could I demo and find the shaft and just have them put a shaft in the Burner? How is the best and least expensive way to approach this?
  6. I have been inconsistent with my Burner stock stiff driver. I had a lesson Saturday and the pro told me that the shaft was wrong for me. He said I need a mid 3, medium stiff, low point shaft. He said the shaft has way too much torque flex and the head is all over the place. Does this sound right. Has anyone had this issue with the stock Fujikura that comes with the club. I just found out how important the shaft is in the club and am trying to get info before spending 100-150 to have a new shaft put in my driver. Any recommendations on what kind of shaft to get? Thanks guys for helping me out!!!
  7. Griffey Jr. used to play at mine before he was traded to the Sox. Tom Browning (old Reds pitcher) Also, when people are in town they usually come and play. I have seen Maddox, Glavine, Michael Douglas, Hootie and the Blowfish.
  8. I have been trying to back the ball up lately and have failed everytime. Does anyone have any secrets they can share. I am hitting an Callaway X 64* wedge and can't get the thing to move back. Any tips will be very appreciated.
  9. Hey guys I really appreciate the advice. I think I will go buy it today after work. I hope it isn't sold.
  10. I was at Golf Galaxy and saw a used Launcher with a V2 shaft for 69.00. I remember when they came out, but never hit one. I swung it a couple times at the store and it felt good. I was wondering if anyone here has hit one, what they thought about it, and if this is a good deal. Thanks, Abs
  11. I usually walk in there, punch the old man greeter in the stomach, then proceed to the golf isle and empty box after box of balls on the floor, then I go and buy a sweet tank top and 36 oz. Slushy and walk out a satisfied customer. This helps with my mental state after a round of golf. So, I would recommend Walmart.
  12. I think I am going to do it. I have a question though. If I do get a new shaft and don't like the club, is it possible to have the shaft removed and installed into another driver head? If so will the shaft perform like it was new still or are there effects from removing and reinstalling it?
  13. I bought it from Sams Club back in 02 for $35.00. I used to love the club and was able to crush it. The shaft broke 3 years ago and I found the head in my garage a couple days ago. I priced to have it reshafted and they want $70.00 for the shaft and labor. I currently have last year's Burner and FT-3 Tour drivers and I kind of hate spending 70.00 to have it reshafted. So I have two questions for you guys 1. Have you guys ever hit the Billy Club 330cc 2. Would you guys take the chance ($70.00) to see if you could still hit the club when you have two drivers that you hit pretty well.
  14. I have an old driver I want to get a new shaft put in (old one broke). The club is a $35.00 "Billy Club" I bought from Sams like 6 years ago. I don't think I have been able to hit my Taylor Made or Callaway as far as I used to hit this driver. I found the head in my garage over the weekend and thought I would just get it reshafted for the heck of it and see if I can still hit it. What kind of shaft do you guys recommend and what is a good price? This is the first time I have done this and I don't want to get ripped off. Thanks guys.
  15. I have heard good things about it for the price. I was reading the review on it and it said that the club is for lower swing speeds? Does anyone on here use this club that has a faster swing speed? Also, how is it for distance?
