I am a 76 year old golfer that is concerned about the decreasing length of my golf shots. To better understand the situation, I have recorded the distance of each of my golf shots over the past several months such that I now have a statistical significant set of data. I have found that my median 1 wood shot is 158 yards, while down four clubs, to my 5 hybrid, the median distance is 147 yards. The other three clubs are in-between. In other words, I have a total 11 yard differential between my five longest clubs. The shaft lengths and lofts of these clubs are standard for a senior. This does not seem reasonable. Can anybody explain it? The distance and differential of my irons and wedges are about as expected for an admitted short hitter.
