  1. When you spin balance a ball doesn't the heavy spot have to go to one of the poles and not the equator? Wouldn't the ball wobble if the weight was on the equator? It seem that since the equator is horizontal and not vertical during balancing, that the ball will not react the same when you place the equatorial line vertical instead of horizontal. Is spinning a ball really a waste of time?
