  1. It also depends on your swing speed. If you have a faster swing speed you may look into getting steel shaft. The advance in graphite technology is making what I've said above not as relevant anymore.
  2. I have the TM dual rescue #3 tp steel S300 shaft. It is my go to club after a bad tee shot (most used club). Very easy to hit and quite workable. I highly recommend the club. However, I find the thing about hybrids is how it looks to each individual at address. My buddies all love the Nike sumo hybrid. I stand over the thing and just cant wrap my mind around hitting it straight....and I don't.
  3. If you think its hard to get a good deal on clubs, try buying lefty clubs. Its very hard finding a deal online. Sometimes I scour to find something, get excited, only to pull that drop down bar and find that the clubs are only right handed. I take what I can get on Ebay (one lonesome teardrop). Nice buy, great deal!!!!
  4. 1 and 2 irons are hard to hit. Hard to get up, hard to keep straight, hard to take out of the golf bag.
  5. My two cents. I am about the same handicap as you with similar issues with the short game. I purchased the Taylor made dual "TP" 3 hybrid off ebay for $40. True Temper Dynamic gold S300 steel shaft. I prefer the steel stiff shaft compared to the graphite shaft which I felt was too whippy and club head would drag in high rough. The club is easy to swing and has a low trajectory compared to the non TP version (that I would always sky). I got rid of my 5 wood which I could never hit unless the ball was perfectly sitting on top of 6 blades of grass, all gentle leaning in the direction of the flag. My friend has the Nike sumo hybrid club that I tried a few rounds. If you are not put off by the square look at address its pretty easy to hit. Its not as noisy as the Sumo driver either.
  6. New here and wanted get my signature as well. Sorry.
