  1. i just bought a new set of them last week, first off, they look so good and are so shiny i almost liked looking at them more than playing with them. it kind of hurt me to take divots and get them dirty. once i got over the keeping my new clubs looking brand new!! it took about 2 rounds before i got adjusted them, they are far different from my ping raptures i have been playing for the past year. i did hit 1 or 2 chunky in my long irons because they dont have the huge sole i was used to. the feel i get when i hit the ball with these clubs cant be described, its great! i am able to work the ball so much better! i am not a single digit handicap and got so tired of hearing the guy at the PGA store try and talk me into the AP1's i say throw handicap out the window and base it off of your ball striking. with the tape on the face of the club and hitting 20 balls i had 1 ball 1/8" off the center of the club face. just like so many others, my handicap doesnt come from my iron play. 9 times out of 10 i make solid contact so these irons fit my game perfectly. if you hit fat or thin these clubs are not going to do anything but make you mad, they dont have the forgiveness. but they are not made to reward poor ball striking. me and my 11 handicap dont have any regrets. i cant think of anything about the AP2's i dont like, i feel like they are perfect!
  2. at the country club its only $16 for 18 holes but im a member and monthly dues that make up for it. i think for a guest(who can only come with a member) it cost around $100. i like to go play a different course every now and then, and it usually cost at bare minimum $40. and usually for that price its public the greens suck, and its not a nice course. im in georgia. if i go anywhere public that has descent greens and a nice course its usually closer to $100. having played at the club for so long and being used to perfect greens year round that are fast. i dont really enjoy going to a course where greens are not up to the standard i am used to. i hate trying to putt on some slow green thats thin, on the verge of dying, never grew back from aeration, or its so rough your ball bounces left and right all over the place, hard as a rock, or soggy as a swamp. when ever i do play somewhere else thats public its worth the extra money to go to a nice course i can enjoy and dont get punished for good shots. in my opinion the greens are what make a good course, if i cant putt and get a true roll its not much fun to me.
  3. i had the ping rapture 5 wood and loved it!!!! i really feel like for the beginner or higher handicap golfer that is one of the best! i kept the club for a long time because i just got up there and swung hard and it went straight, felt great coming off the club face. it was so hard to mess up a shot with that club, and it was very long, i could hit that 5 wood 250-260 everytime. if my ball striking had not started really improving it would still be in my bag. i switched only because the 5 wood swing carried into my driver swing(that didnt go straight and long) and it didnt force me to focus on a good swing. i went with the titleist 906f4 13.5 and sold the rapture only because the titleist forces me to focus on my swing and doesnt allow me to get away with hacking like the rapture. i sold my hybrid as well and went back to a 3 iron( i hit irons 10 times better than hybrids) since i have the 3 iron i dont need a 5 wood. i hit the 3 iron around 250 and i can use the 13.5 if i need longer than that or either do what i hate to do but should try more often LAY UP. also, the titleist is much more similar to my driver, so me hitting the titleist has helped my driving as well. i still cannot say enough good things about the ping rapture 5 wood!
  4. thats exact opposite for me! i wish i had that problem!
