I have seen so many answers in an online search as to how many balls a pro can go out with and use in a round... I've heard Johnny Miller joke about running out of balls.. How many are allowed to be in a Pros bag for an official round of golf? Please and thanks for responses. (I am sure this has been covered here, couldn't find it)

Phil just marked his 1st tee hit for the 4th round with a tee, then removed and cleaned and then placed ball back in not the same position in relation to tee in ground, as a newer golfer - I am not sure why or what was allowed there...
