  1. Hi everyone! I posted the swing video above because I am looking for some feedback to help me decide if I am going in the right direction. I am focusing on having a narrow stance to promote a full turn. I am also focusing on having an upright swing so that my path follows the target line. I think this should help minimize sidespin and help my ball start on my target line. For years I have battled conflicting swing thoughts such as the following: - Should I bring the club to the inside or straight back? - Should I shallow my backswing or try to keep it upright? - Should I release my hands at impact or keep the clubface stable with quiet hands? I am trying to identify a small set of "core rules" that I can trust and work to make repeatable in my swing. There is a lot of conflicting swing information in golf literature, and I want to quiet my mind.

  3. Thanks for the advice. Today I worked on steepening my shoulder angle (I was trying to focus on this for now as I don't want to try and work on too much at the same time). Do you notice an improvement here? As you can see, the ball still starts a little to the right and I am assuming the face has got to be open at impact (with an inside path). Any advice on how to square up the club more consistently? Does it look like I am getting "stuck"? -Patrick
  4. I've been Playing Golf for: 10 years My current handicap index or average score is: 13 My typical ball flight is: low hook The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: snap hook Hey Guys, I'm a 13 handicap with a good short game and strong putting game. However, I have been struggling with my long game for some time now. I struggle with a low snap hook most of the time, but I occasionally slice a few high and right as well. I can't seem to develop a consistent long game, and I am hoping to receive any input on my swing and all advice is welcomed. I believe I have a few bad habits and my swing is lacking in certain key fundamentals, but rather than elaborate on my own thoughts regarding my swing I'd like to hear thoughts from a third party perspective. Thanks guys. -Patrick Vi deos:
