  1. Check ball positioning. The shorter irons should be played further back in your stance. As you move down to 7,8 and 9 irons, the ball should be lined up further back as you go. This also will allow for more solid contact on the higher lofted clubs. Also, maybe see about getting some impact tape which will show you where you are making contact with the ball on the club face. You want to make sure that you're not hitting too low on the club with the higher lofted clubs. http://thegolfcaptain.blogspot.com/
  2. If you've never visited golf.com,you may find it interesting. There you can view a ton of video tutorials from top golf instructors. They categorize the videos so its easier to browse through. Check it out and you may find something that is helpful to you. Specifically if you feel like you are dropping your shoulder, it may be that you are not properly lifting your lead hip. Try to focus on follow through and making sure your chest is pointed directly at your target when you finish your follow through. Also, make sure your head stays down at impact. Some of the best advice I ever got was from an Arnold Palmer tutorial which mentioned that you should keep your head as still as possible throughout the swing. If your head remains still, your shoulders will be in the same position as they were when you started your backswing. That alone has helped me tremendously with consistency.
