  1. My father and I would play that course back in the mid-70's for a quick round of golf. I would have never thought it would show up here. Solano Beach.
  2. Thanks. I guess it's the shaft and flex that does not suite me anymore. What shafts are you using for the irons?
  3. For me, grip size does not do much for hook, draw, fade, or slice. I've tried many grips over the decades from DL-Gold, DL-White, GP mid-size, to GP standard, and experimented with layers of tape. I've settled on either mid-size with grip tape, or standard with a layer of tape under the grip tape, both non-ribbed.
  4. Is it typical for an golfer to go down in swing weight similar to going from a stiff to regular flex? Reason for asking is my surprise when Ping answered my email regarding the make up on my clubs. I started with a Eye2+ in green dot, +1/4, and a swing weight of D3 with KT shafts. This was about 22 years ago. The clubs I've been playing are i3+ in standard length, also green dot, CS-Lite in regular flex with cushin inserts. I do swing these much better than my old Eye2+, but was surprise when Ping said they left the factory with a C9 swing weight. I had also thought these were shafted with JZ and no inserts. At nearly pushing 55, I know I needed to go down to regular flex, but I was surprised at the light weight shaft and particularly the C9 swing weight. These clubs are great though. I would like to reshaft the Eye2+ and don't fear lose swing weight as much. Thinking of Nippon 950 or 1050, and TT XP95 or XP105. Any ideas?
  5. In case, you did not get off the course in time to watch, you did not miss much. I found the format anticlimactic and dry. I was expecting to see some spinning, tumbling lottery balls getting spit out of the machine. This is getting ridiculous with the Oilers winning the lottery 4 times in the past 6 years, and still be a perennial cellar-dweller: 2010 1st pick - Taylor Hall 2011 1st pick - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins 2012 1st pick - Nail Yakupov 2013 7th pick - Darnell Nurse 2014 3rd pick - Leon Draisaitl 2015 1st pick - Conner McDavid (predicted pick, and very likely)
  6. The range bucket was not free. It was priced into the green fees. Nothing's free, guys, nothing. It's just like those dozen of golf balls with an extra 6 for free. It's not free, it's just factored into the price.
