  1. technically you are not thinking in the swing it is time to snap the wrist though impact, but that has to happen to get the extra distances, but you are thinking let it snap through out the swing. So what I do is think before I hit the ball that I wont to snap through the ball, and then do a few slow practice swings filling that natural snap. Then I swing at the ball keeping a light grip so that I snap through the ball. If you keep your wrist in a loose grip not to loose but not tight (you should be holding the club not squeezing it), and if you do that you wont have to think snap in your swing it will happen, but while you are learning the swing you are going to have to think about it though out the swing to keep your self from not snapping though the ball.. Maybe I word it a little wrong but I was stating what was happening in the swing, but you do have to anticipate it happening and let it happen or it will not happen. I know how hard I was hitting it last may and I know how hard I am hitting it now. The swing really works.
  2. I'll post a video as soon as I get the time, and no I have not lost much accuracy I have actually lowered my score a lot I am now shutting in the 70's which I had never done before. I'll try and get a video up soon.
  3. I started working on my swing speed this year back in may 2015, and I posted some of the results I was having when I first started, but before I started working on my speed I purchased a swing speed radar so I could monitor my progress. At the time I was hitting it around 89 miles an hour not that fast. So I started working on it. I loosened my grip so that my wrist could stay more relaxed in my swing an in doing that alone I picked up 10 to 12 miles an hour, and that was when I sent in my first post about hitting it 300 yards. So I went from 89 to 101 miles an hour basically over night. It took me another 2 months to pick up about 5 more miles an hour. So I was hitting it around 106 to 107 and sometimes a little faster, but now I have come up with the last step needed to hit it 300+ yards. Here it is. Swing with a light grip not to light you don't wont to let go of your club in the swing, but grip it gently. then slowly start your back swing. Then when you start your forward swing make sure you do not tighten your grip but keep it light then just before contact with the ball snap the hinge out of your wrist throw the ball. With that swing I am now swinging the club around 115 miles an hour which is way faster then my swing of 89 miles an hour. I have actually had my swing up to the low 120's here recently. So if you wont to hit it 300+ try this swing it works. If you are wondering where the hinge in your wrist is coming from it is because of the light grip if you keep it light your wrist should hinge slightly at the top of your back swing.
  4. Far me I was gripping way to tight which tightened my wrist. and if you wont to hit it far you have to have loose wrist. Try this if you grip your hand like if you had a club in them and grip tight and then try and move your wrist, then loosen your grip then move your wrist they move much easier with loose wrist which = faster swing speeds. Loosening your grip will only help you if you are too tight like I was. you still have to be able to swing it throw the ball. You do not wont to under grip either so it will not work for every one. This tip is for those like me that are way over griping. If your grip is to tight then your wrist will be too tight and if your wrist are to tight then you can not swing it as fast. When I said I swung it easy and hit it farther I really was swinging it faster but it felt easier because I wasn't as tensed up which made it easier to swing faster. So it felt like I was swinging easier because it didn't take as much effort to swing it harder.
  5. I am a 14 handicap at the time of this post hopefully that will soon change. I went out this morning to play a little golf. I was hitting all my clubs the way I have always hit them. this morning when I started my round I was hitting my 6 iron about 160 not to good but ok for me. Here in the last few months I was trying to get more distance out of my clubs, because how short I was hitting the ball it was making lowering my handicap almost impossible. like I said earlier I was hitting my 6 iron about 160 but towards the end of my round I decided to change up my swing a little and start working on my distance and by the time I ended my round I was hitting my 6 iron 190 in the air with no effort at all. Sound to good to be true well it happen and all I really changed was my grip I was over gripping the club so when I was swinging I had no chance to hit it far because my wrist were to tight which slowed my swing down way to much. I loosened my grip a little and picked up 30 yards and I didn't even have to hit it hard at all. I don't know if it will work for every one but it did for me.
