Not like the left pic? I'm sorry for not understanding but both pictures look at the same to me is another picture that you can explain to me with?

Hmmm, I usually feel the golf club more on the fingers but i wouldn't put it passed me being palmy also...anything i should focus on to make sure im not being palmy or upload a closeup of grip?

Posture still not there but I was working on not moving laterally backwards away from the ball and more forward weight transfer and more importantly hip toward the target. I hit some pure shots today when I did it correct and wow it feels so good it feels like hitting butter or not hitting a golf ball at all. Any tips?

Thank you so much. You already told me about moving back. I will focus on that for my next update. Thank you thank you

Dont remember exactly but i think it had to do with hitting down /getting used to grass vs turf. I don't remember to be honest thats why i thought id ask here

Mod i tried doing so by hitting hyperlink. Not sure how to do it (embed video)

Any truth to that? I would think that excludes teeing up. I always though the woods and 4iron would take very little divot as compared to wedges and high irons so it almost seems it should be the other way around?

So I'm jerry rigging the camera on a chair still, and video 1 is literally my first swing of the practice session. video 4 was one of my last so I was warmed up and focusing on what I was out there practicing on. posture, one piece take away (still needs more work), and forward weight transfer. Forward weight transfer being the main thing on my mind throughout my practice session. Any thoughts or anything jumps out at you that I need to address? Thanks for watching! Mod: Embedded videos from URLs. Please take the time to do this yourself @infoe .

looking to change out my wedges, help me confirm my choices
infoe replied to infoe's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
I live in Miami. usually not muddy but I guess its no Phoenix. Think I'm pretty comfortable with 54.14 now to decide between staying at 60.07 or trying 60.08 -
looking to change out my wedges, help me confirm my choices
infoe replied to infoe's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Tough to "try" other choices just left a store where they had no newport scottys in lefty to try and i was ay least able to try a 54 in 14 sm4. It felt pretty good -
so I have an old r7xd taylor made sand wedge 54 degree that is/was a good solid club for me getting out of sand and out to roughly a 100 yards. as well as a vokey 60 degree 07 loft (SAYS BV) on it...bought both of these clubs second hand and have had them for some time. I've been told the grooves of them are about done and should be the next clubs I replace. I feel really comfortable and confident with both of these clubs I don't know my handicap as Im in the process of gathering it but my play has been improving. I'm looking at the vokey 54 degree with 14 loft F GRIND SM5 and the vokey 60 degree with 07 loft S grind SM5 I'm going to try to find them at a store to try out (I'm lefty so any other left reading this knows its not that easy to find clubs to try) but I'm thinking with my positive experience with my current 60 vokey I would think the new 60 vokey is basically just replacing the old one and that should be a wash, my concern is the sand wedge (current loft 54) changing to a 54 vokey. Thoughts?

I recorded this in slow mo on the 5s but couldn't figure out how to get it to play in slow mo on pc so I just uploaded after getting tired of trying...

camera angle is still not perfect...I already ordered the protosports holster for iphone and it's on its way. today I practiced posture, one piece or more connected take away and forward weight transfer...

just signed up, lefty here and you have my home course info which is good...will report back after I play a round. Ive been actually looking into sites that do this (preferably free) and asked around for different recommendations. I use a rangefinder and have been up to this point a leisure player but I want to start going out weekly/practicing daily and keeping track of my improvement. so up to now this week ive downloaded golflogix, tour caddie and the grint (the grint being for handicap tracking) I do agree with that you can't be all things to all people and I for one prefer not to have to deal with a gps as i already have the rangefinder and the whole other argument of consumer gps +/- variance we won't get into here...but a solid site for shot tracking a long with I guess whichever site I stay with for handicap tracking plus my range finder I should be set on the three different fronts.

So I had the wife snap two pics of me, first one is bad (previous posture, i was actually still sore from my round on Saturday and felt it in my back) and the second one good? felt more natural more a bit like I was about to bend over to pick something up..I tucked the 4 iron into my stomach to practice the (good) posture pose. Better?
-
thanks now that you mention it (i'm bad at taking written instruction and visualizing it) I do see how I have my butt out, stomach in and shoulders back...I do see that now...stick in your belly (literally) from the video above looks like a good drill on setting up the proper posture.

I can get this and use on golf cart next to me as I swing? Case Star Octopus Style Portable and adjustable Tripod Stand Holder... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007NFJN0I/ref=cm_sw_r_udp_awd_xT6ltb17B3NA6

Not sure where to ask this so ill ask here. Is the iphone 5s sufficient quality for this forum? Because it can do hd footage and in slow motion. If so i can get a tripod and retry
-
Thank you both for the reaponses abu3baid. With your two assesments on posture and forward weight transfer the first one that hits more home or rings a bell is forward weight transfer not being sufficient, probably why i rarely take divots. On the posture piece though im not sure what needs to be addressed?
I've been Playing Golf for: seriously for two years now My current handicap index or average score is: high 90s My typical ball flight is: erratic but typically straight The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: slice for driver and bad aimed iron shots that will shoot out left or right but straight. so up to now ive been exclusively riding cards (s. florida weather is balmy) but I'm getting a clicgear 3.0 on the cheap and going to give walking a shot. I envision riding some still when I play with friends and walking when I'm solo. with a stand cart it was always woods on tops smaller irons on bottom but this bag is different as it has a 14 way divider. I googled some images and saw a lot of left to right setup..how does this look to you all? I have one round in with new clubs and all the clubs felt like old friends (how forgiving they were) except the g25 driver as it's clearly not the club but my swing that still needs to imrpove.

Made a large purchase, sight unseen, thoughts?
infoe replied to infoe's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
what should i expect to pay for a fitting (roughly) and at my skill set when I think of fitting is the primary concern height of club and lie of face angle or is it something else that is more important like the type of shaft? -

Can you guys help me understand the difference between TFC GRAPHITE and TFC TOUR X GRAPHITE my driver and 3w are tfc tour x graphite and the hybrids (I may not keep both) are regular tfc graphite. I did not notice this until now...I may switch to aftermarket shafts on the hybrid/wood/drivers anyhow but while my wallet recover's I'd like to know what the difference is in what I'm playing. Their all STIFF though. -

Dwade everyone likes to feel good about their purchase however misguided it might be. I agree with your assesment. Being a high handicapper that shows glimpsea of decent golf game (inconsistency being the main issue) thats why i opted for great clubs in stiff that are still considered forgiving and certainly not players clubs that i cam definately grow into and make them laat me many years.
