  2. Thank you for the tips. I'll be working on this at the range in the morning.
  3. Actually, I just found 2 drills on YouTube that will help. Thank you for your input.
  4. It is being caused by my 'breaking' (retracting) my left elbow after impact. This was pointed out to me by my instructor and I have been working on it to correct it, however it is proving difficult to me. He showed me the proper way at the end of the lesson, and I began to try keeping it together, however it is proving difficult (just left the range). So I thought there might be a drill to help me get this down before my next lesson.
  5. Having trouble maintaining the 'triangle' formed with my arms and body after I make contact with the ball. My left elbow (I'm a righty) begins to pull in. Anybody have any tips or drills that can help me hold that triangle longer through my swing?
  6. Thanks, metbid. I'm playing on Thursday and will try positioning my hands a bit ahead and keeping flat wrists. Picturing this, it makes a lot of sense.
  7. Interesting description of 'bounce' and how it is used here -
  8. Thank you for that! It makes the video even more instructive for me.
  9. I'm sure I'm not alone in trying to make it a lot more complicated than this video shows it to be! Obviously something I will need to practice, which is not a bad thing. Again, on the plus side, the 58 degree is simply a delight to hit from sand. Thank you all for all of the information. It has been very helpful.
  10. THANKS! I'm on it!
  11. This was simply wonderful to watch! Open stance, definitely hitting a bit down on it. The leading edge was definitely not touching the ground either. And definitely a shot I will NOT be trying off a cart path.
  12. Be interesting to know the club he used, distance, and shot flight. I keep watching this.
  13. Not hitting down on the ball, it seems.
  14. Now THAT was very interesting!
  15. From my perspective when looking down at the club, the 58 seems to have the leading edge sitting up a bit when placed on the ground. The only way to make the leading edge the first point of contact (to me, that is) was to move the ball a bit further back in my stance. In doing this, I change the trajectory of the shot drastically from the fairway, and that's my real issue. There aren't any grass driving ranges that I am aware of in my area. Well, there is one at the local college, but it is primarily hard pan. I liked the 58 TREMENDOUSLY from the rough around the green with the right lie, and it was amazing out of traps. Truly effortless. The more I read the responses and ask around, I'm being told I"m really looking for a gap wedge.
