I started golfing in June '15 for the first time and fell in love with the sport.
I have a strange grip that somehow works for me. I hit a +2 today (9 holes) with this thing and get more distance than when I use a standard grip.
If I miss, it's just with a slight pull, but I'd say about 95% of my shots are a slight fade to straight.
I've tried and played with standard grips and I am way more inconsistent. No pulls but often a slice or just a complete biff. Sometimes solid, sometimes awful. Distance also suffers. For example, my 7 iron goes from about 165 distance to 135 with a standard interlocking grip.
I don't think I've found some weird secret grip, but for whatever reason, I think my swing may be broken and this counteracts it in an unusual but effective way.
I am thinking about seeing a pro but I am not sure if it's worth dropping the cash if the results are there. I took a few quick photos. What do you think? Should I ditch it and just work on a standard grip? Or stick with what is working? Have you ever seen a grip like this? I've done some Google digging and came up empty.
Thanks for taking a sec.
