I've been Playing Golf for: tis time around, 8 months My current handicap index or average score is: 17 My typical ball flight is: driver long and typically str8, irons usually str8 or a push The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: hook with fairway woods Videos: I have a wide stance, i was a former baseball player, and i had the tendency to lift up and top the ball off the tee. this wider stance completely eliminated that, im a consistent 260-290 driver, typically in fairways.. but all advice would help.. cheers

Just bought a new set all together.. So 1500 for everythhign so far..
-
if i picked up the club 2 show him, the difference between new and used price that makes me an ahole? why didnt he say let me call around and see if i can find you an acceptable replacement club? why is it my job to track down a club... why would i take initiative? im the customer, wouldnt that be his job? your whole statement is ridiculous.. you are the exact person i spoke of in earlier posts.. their wrong equaled my right.. get over it..
-
and yes i can afford any club.. does that mean i should be ok with sh*tty service? Live your life in mediocrity, I on the other hand refuse it.
-
cls.. not csl sorry that posting on poor customer service in hopes that if something like this happens to you, you would be more informed on how it can be handled.. good luck to you all.. you know how many mean things i could have said about some of you negative posters, especially the ones who made it personal, with your name calling, characterization, ect? from your hc, to your clubs, to your attitudes, to your obvious sounding jealousy? i refuse to single any of you out.. hit them well.. and hope this never happens to you.. because if it does, I'm willing to wager you wont be so lenient on the way it was handled..
-
ranting about the service, yes.. the outcome.. no..
-
the V2 offered the diamanna bb as a stock shaft per say.. i got a deal on a v2 with a tfc ping stiff shaft.. i purchased a once pulled shaft that came out of v2 to replace the one in it.. the only used/demo club they had was v2 with reg flex.
-
where did any of that sound like i was upset.. i think its amusing.. had this been hapening to any of you guys, i promise you would have done it the same way.
-
LOL.. For the last time.. I DIDNT DEMAND A NEW CLUB.. I had the demo in my hand, it stickered for 349.00.. i looked at the new clubs, which had my exact model specs, it stickered 399.00. I didnt see it as that big a deal..
-
I did not expect a new club.. a lot of you guys posting negatively are not only very short sided, but obviously have failed to read the majority of the post.. The only club that happened to match my club was new. it varied $50 between new and used.. the guy was a disgruntled employee and was unwilling to accept they screwed up.. not having my club for 2 weeks was unacceptable..
-
People like you are impossible to talk with.. When did I say I disnt get a great deal? when did i ask for sympathy? I was in a busy retail store, of course people heard our conversation.. Whining? I think not, dont confuse anger and whining.... i posted a rant.. if you dont like it, move on, nothing to see here.. i now wish something would happen to your clubs as mentioned, and see how you would handle it.. it would be fun to see you turn face..
-
It's my hard earned money.. money I work for, sorry to all of you who think this was far fetched to say that a loaner club for 2 weeks was unacceptable when the shop screwed up my club.. You guys handle it your way, I'm glad i handled it my way.. Why you could possibly be out playing, missing shots swinging a driver you're not comfortable with saying, damn I wish they wouldn't have screwed up my driver" I will be swinging my driver... 2 weeks..pphhhh smh at that..
-
who is asking for sympathy? are you kidding? this is a golf forum, a place to vent, talk about things golf related.. no sympathy required.. To be honest I would rather have my club, a club in which I know the actual loft for, had the right grip ect.. relax on the sympathy talk, none is needed

thats kinda harsh Leo, I hope nothing like this happens to you, because anyone that would use such sarcasm and vulgarity in a situation that doesnt involve them at all, I find it hard to believe you could restrain yourself..

And a bottle of grey goose totals $420.. 20% of that is gratuity which is 80, tax is 36, and the bottle runs us 27.. So the bottles costs me 143, we make $280 per.. I have learned, you take care of a customer and they will be a customer for life.. I have friends wanting to get into golf.. Who have no clubs, and money.. You think Im gonna send them there? Not a chance... Golf Equipment is very competitive in SO CAL... I will steer them some where else.. I just picked up the game after a 8 year layoff this past Feb.. i have purchased a 200 pull cart, Adidas 360 ltd's, 2 adidas wind breakers, box pro v's, all my tees, 4 golves, 3 wedges, set of irons,a ping redwood putter, trion bracelet, v2 hybrid.. See what I mean.. I have spent a ton of money there.. That is probably the busiest equip store in the area, and they know me by name.. That says enough.. Im in there once a week getting something, new golf shirt, slacks, ect.. Now I am probably gonna take my business elsewhere.. No matter what the case, you never look visibly smug or upset in front of the person you're dealing with, especially when you're in the wrong.

Impulse buy.. it had the factory tfc stiff shaft in it, and I got a good deal on BB. So I took it in for a basic procedure, came out disfigured and I was thinking malpractice..
-
I offered to bring the club I walked out with back, and he said just keep it.. This club although new, it has been struck. it had tape over the plastic.. His point of sale was $50, like I have said I wasn't breaking there bank..
-
Luckily thats a bridge we didn't have to cross. i'm not sure actually what I might have done.. Perhaps G10? I dunno.. The associate didn't give me a lot of options, didn't offer any accessories, anything for my time having to drive back up there and back, there are always things you dont think of on the fly.. I live in Hollywood, Roger Dunns is about 15-20 mins away depending on traffic each way.... offering me a loaner and being without my club 2 weeks didn't fly, I stood up for myself, because I was right 110%. They effed up.. Maybe they should hire more qualified people.
-
There are 3 Roger Dunns within a 30 mile radius, why didnt the associate call them and see if they had one? He had a lot of options besides the one that happened, either he didnt think of them or was lazy. If he would have been apologetic instead of smug about it and said, let me get you a sleave of pro v and a 25 dollar gift card that would have smoothed it over.. but nothing was offered except a loaner and my club being gone for 2 weeks.. like i have said previously i run a nightclub.. if one of my vip table buyers has a bottle knocked over and spilled, i go over to them and offer them a couple rounds of drinks, if they say come on it was a full bottle, i happily replace it and give them the round anyway.. Why? casue a happy patron comes back.. i give them my card and say if you have any other needs, please have security radio for me.. a bottle of grey goose sells for 440.00 in nightclubs, but its the right thing to do.. sometimes stuff happens, best bet is to just fix it, that will always benefit the business in the long run.. every time..

Fat Slice, i agree with what you said somewhat.. but i just settled on the V2, roughly 2 weeks prior. i have went through several drivers since Feb, this is the 1st club I truly like.. Golf is a mental thing, say I pick up some random driver and for 2 weeks i nail it, and now i want this one? i dont need to be confused anymore than I already am.. I just wanted a V2 with a Stiff BB..
-
I have to keep saying this, I didnt demand anything.. I said I want my club in a stiff flex..If you have one thats fine, if you dont, we have a problem, it just so happens the only 1 they have is new.. thats not my fault.. i would have gladly taken a used club with my specs, unfortunately they didnt have it.. so how is that my fault?
-
Agreed, but this is a golf forum.. And this is a good place to talk golf related stuff as well.. Shouldn't have titled it, "was i wrong" should have said, man i need to vent..
-
had that been his answer, i would have went to my car, grabbed the g10 irons and the 3 tour-w wedges that i also bought from this store in the last month and gladly asked for a refund..
-
let me be perfectly clear, I DIDNT DEMAND A NEW CLUB!! They didnt have a used/demo that fit my specs.. Had they, I would have gladly accepted it.. The one that was closest was stickered for 349.00, the new club that fit my exact specs stickered 399.00. I said if you find me a V2 Stiff flex 9* used its fine, he couldnt, the only one they had was new.. So i said to him the difference in the price of your used and new club is 50.. just give me the new one.. i never once demanded anything.
