  1. Great point at the end there, he came up short against the most clutch player to ever enter the game. I respect your opinions, seems to be something that could go one way or the other.
  2. Hes 14 man.. of course his mental game isn't very strong. I wish I had the 'worries' I thought I had when I was 14. But they are very real to you at the time. Heres something for future referance golf aside.. a girl is going to break your heart a lot worse than you think it is now. I would relax and have fun with the game, you really SHOULDN'T have too many worries at that age.
  3. First things first, props on the name Melo is my boy. I grew up in Baltimore and have loved him since he left Towson Catholic. Wouldn't you say having a center like big Z is a problem? He had the best team based on record. That team couldn't of played any better than they did. They just didn't have the tools to make it to the finals, BIG Z was the problem, he couldn't handle dwight. In terms of statistics, Malone would be No. 1 on this list. However, he wasn't clutch or a winner. He had career averages of 25 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.8 blocks. He also shot 51.6 percent from the field and 74.2 percent from the free-throw line. He also ranks second all-time in total points, as he is only behind Kareem. Although to say Karl Malone is the 2nd best power forward is a stretch, top 5 though. All those infront of him though have won rings, Elvin Hayes, Bob Pettit, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan. The list is very much based on the person. Now, where do you think Karl Malone would rank if he DID win rings? easily 2nd. A lot of people have an arguement that Kevin McHale is better than Karl because he HAS won the big games. I guess in the end, it depends on the person.. if you factor in the fact that all of these players goals are pretty much to win a NBA championship. In the NBA to be where Lebron wants to be, G.O.A.T. YOU NEED RINGS ... thats just a fact.
  4. If Lebron keeps up at the pace he is playing right now.. there is no question he will go down as one of the greatest of all time. I am with you.. Lebrons team couldn't hold a candle to the Lakers.. Lebron would have done better with a supporting cast like Portland, even though thats not even ideal. Imagine him with a team like the Lakers.. or the magic.. too bad they couldn't afford him with dwight..
  5. Yeah.. but if were talking the BEST.. then you need to win rings.. You can't go down as one of the greatest if you have never won the big show.. Think about the greats of basketball for a second.. they all have atleast 3+ rings.. Lebron said his goal is to be the greatest of all time.. if thats the case he has no choice.. he HAS to win rings.
  6. Hes got some rings to win before anyone should even start talking about that.. Kobe just did it again without Shaq. In the NBA your success is judged solely on the amount of rings you win. Just look at the hall of famers, if they did it just on stats then there are soooo many more players who deserve to be in there.
  7. Once Lebron does the dunk contest next year and wins it.. I will say him.. Right now, its probably still Lebron just because hes 6'8 260 and can run a 4.4, can you say God given? The man still needs to get a ring tho.. lets see how he does if and when Shaq heads to Cleveland..
  8. Wait, was the new golfer a friend? If a friend of mine was getting hassled like that I would of handled it MUCH different. If thats the case, you should of stuck up for your friend, ESPECIALLY if you invited him to come along. I would never allow one of my friends to feel humiliated on a golf course. A lot of these posts are the 'adult' thing to do, but that doesn't always mean the 'right' thing to do.
  9. Thanks man, I am going to be moving this ball back in my stance and try to work on that weight distrubution.
  10. Thanks for the quick response, I am going to give this a try and give an update.
  11. Sorry about that.. typically, what I find is I am either not staying down on the ball or I am slicing it. At times, it can be a complete variation of those two things. Now, what I mean is my ball will look like a punch fade or sometimes just a complete low far right ball. Most of the time, I will bring up a divot before the ball and not after it too.. Could it be I am taking my eyes off the ball right before impact? I know I am having a problem staying down on it.. just because I always feel like I am trying to kill it.
  12. I think what he is trying to say is there is a greater chance of him hitting puttin one in on a par 3 than shooting scratch, which I can agree with. I think I have a better chance of hitting a hole in one than shooting par, although, for myself both precentages are way under 1%.
  13. I am having the same problem a couple other guys on this board seem to have, except with my irons in general. Although, what really weirds me out is I have no problems once so ever with my driver or my fairway woods. I am extremely confident in my woods. I am not a very good golfer, actually, I am not good at all. However, when I pick the driver up out of my bag I am very confident I am going to put a solid swing on the ball and either be on the fairway or just a bit off the fringe. Now, when I pick up ANY of my irons, I am thinking, "Where the hells this one going to go?". I am sure thats part of my problem, any advice guys? I use Callaway Big Berthas.. This is my first year golfing, any tips or possible practice regime would be appreciated.. Thanks guys!
  14. I can say with confidence that I am not a very good golfer. Although, I don't care if someone is a better golfer than me, that doesn't make them better than me. All in all, the guy should of stood up for himself. I know if anyone ever came at me like that and were trying to embarass me, I would put a stop to that REAL quick, probably getting thrown off the course in the process. I have come close to being asked to leave courses before, because of cussing at the course marshalls. In my opinion, most of the guys who treat people like that on a golf course are trying to make up for something, put them in their place real quick and they usually make a 180 degree turn around. All in all, I have met some really GOOD people on golf courses. I have found that everyone is out there for the same reason and thats to have fun. There are always going to be those tough guy chumps who need to put in their place, set the tone early if you see that personality in them. I remember a guy said something to me after I sliced a drive, and I found a simple "Why don't you shut the hell up?" will keep their mouth shut. I know a lot of guys including myself who don't allow that kind of stuff to go on around them. No one should feel targetted by personal attacks by others on a golf course. Hopefully, you never have to use anything like this, though. I rarely feel irritated by people other than myself on the golf course :). Hope I helped brotha!
