OK, so down here where I live, we have one driving range and they do not even have yardage markers up. So i guess it comes down to this. To save money, I have a shag bag full of balls and I figured Ill get as much practice in hitting into a net than anything. Problem is, in my history, I have bought three nets, all have been junk. One from Wal Mart, one from K mart, and then one on an online site. That one was ok, but given away when I moved. Anyone have a good idea on some great nets out there somewhere?

Its kinda what I saw on the golf channel the other night. The guy was talking about people shooting -4 or -5 under and they panic and try to change what they are doing. He goes... just keep doing what you are. Who cares if you shoot -9 or -10 under. At the end of the day its just another number and you go and change shoes and go home. :)

It snowed one day when I was like 16 and my best friend and I jumped the fence at the club we belonged to and played over 72 holes. We kept scores for those, but then after that we just hit different shows and would pick one club to use the entire hole. We didnt stop till later that day. It was rough the first few holes cause there was patches of un melted snow. Yellow balls were not to be made fun of that day :)

I just caught a commercial going out the door today about the changing rule that grooves are going to be changed on clubs. Is that wedges and irons or just wedges? I was just curious about this and like I said, I caught the tail end of it and was just wanting some light on the subject :).

But I agree with everyone saying that its the complete game that makes you a great player. Take any sport: boxing, soccer, baseball. THe player has to have ALL the essentials to be great. If you slack in one...others make up for it. That is how it works a lot of the time.

Sometimes they play if off like, Oh he knew that was exactly 161 and hit one club up and it was great. :) I know they are making it exciting, so that is what I was talking about.

See, when I was little, I was always in the thought process that pros great shots came from just using eye sight to see the yardage and to hit like that. Talk about making the game tough....

I cannot stand Billy Packer. He is an awful announcer, talk about putting your own opinions into things. I am from Kentucky, not even a Kentucky basketball fan, but whenever Kentucky played on CBS, you just had to mute the TV and listen to the radio. Billy Packer is the most biased man that was on TV. He was awful. Unless you were from the East Coast (ACC) he did not ever say anything good about you or your area.

My bad, when I compared Billy Packer to Johnny Miller, I was thinking about Jim Nantz sitting next to him. LOL OH well, both gentlemen have to put up with a lot. :)

I kinda agree with his statement. If you really pay attention to Johnny Miller, he is an ass. He has such a pompousness about him.

Yeah that one goal counted. US is getting better. Soon, a lot of people wont have to be hideaway soccer fans :)

I hate to say this, but Johnny Miller drops my IQ whenever I listen to him. He is the Billy Packer of annoucing, just instead of basketball, it is golf. He says stuff that is always controversial and thats his only way to get people to listen. Sometimes I feel sorry for Jim Nantz who has to sit by him. I think that if I was stuck on an island with Johnny Miller, I would probably stick my head in the water and let the sharks eat me. Sorry, he just annoys me and makes annoucing awful.

Billy Mays was teh man. Its sad to see a good guy go. His plane semi crash landed yesterday and they said things fell on his head. He stated after the crash that it did not hurt cause he had a hard head. It would be sad to find out something from that caused his untimely death.
