  1. Going to Ireland in Aug with the wifey for a family trip but have got her to agree to at least 3 rounds of golf. We got an amazing deal at the K club on the Ryder cup track so we will play there but looking for some advice about a couple of additional courses. We will head from Dublin to Galway and down the SE coast on our way back to Kildair. I was thinking about Tralee or Doonbeg. Prefer to find something that is not to far of a drive from Killarney. Any recommendations on course selection down there? Also anyone have advice on what to pack as far as gear other then the must needed rain gear... lol Thx
  2. I personally would always lean to 1-on-1 lessons if had a choice. The medicus IMHO is a good tool like someone said above for tempo (to develop or if you lost yours) but as far as learning fundementals a pro is preferred.
  3. great deal. Congrats. I love the URC ball. I have been playing them for quite a while and give them 2 thumbs up!
  4. Thanks CG031. The prototypes are a little too steep for me. Any one else have any feedback on 5.5 vs 6.0 shafts...?
  5. 2 thoughts.. First it is a great way to get in someone's head before a round even starts Second, I have found that hitting balls with it is pointless but it is helpful to groove a smooth take-away. The weight is also good to loosen up with instead of swinging 2 clulbs, etc... Would I spend the money again, prob not...
  6. New to the board and looking for some advice. Been playing golf for almost 2 years now and really enjoy the game. Solid 10 handicap and ready to drop my knock-off irons for a new set. I've hit several brands and the X-22 Tour feel the best to me. I hit the Project X 6.0 and they felt great but, the sales guy thought that I may prefer 5.5's. The ball flight and distance was as expected with the 6.0; 7i @ 160. I was told the Project X shafts are very stiff and not sure the difference between the 5.5 and 6.0 as they did not have the 5.5 for me to swing. Can anyone help me with the pro's con's of 5.5 or 6.0?
  7. If you like the driver you have I would stick with it. I like having the extra wedge or the range finder better then the medicus. The only think I use my medicus for now is either a tempo issue or as a heavy cllub to warm up with.
  8. You would only be holding the grip the the rest of the shaft and club head would have traveled further then your ball... lol (j/k) If they are really deep I would have it checked out and if not, I wouldn't worry about them.
  9. Agreed. The one you like best. I personally have the hibore and love the look at address. Never personally cared for the sound of the Nike.
