  1. I shot even in a tournament this year. I had 5 birdies on the day (missed two other short birdie putts) but had two doubles and one bogey. On 18 I hit a great drive and the hole ( Willowbrook Country Club) had water short and right of the green. I only had about 100 yds. in but I played to the left of the green and two putted. I thought I handled myself pretty well.
  2. ^^ Totally correct. P.S. Nice quote reference
  3. I tried a scotty out the other day and I could feel, see, and hear the ball hopping into the air and skidding along the green. For my stroke I think the 4* of loft was just too much (I have a YES! which has the grooves to get it rolling but I dont really like it). This putter would be absolutely perfect for me if it does what it says. It has less loft(2*) but is able to get the ball rolling because of the unique groove system however it also claims to have soft feel. The YES! is similar without soft feel but mine doesn't have the plumbers neck(or whatever its called) which I would get the nike with. It just seems like it should be a perfect fit.
  4. Ok thanks for all the help. Im going to make sure i ask golfsmith and Golf galaxy soon. If not I can always ask the pro shop at my course. Thanks again.
  5. So if I go into golfsmith or golf galaxy and pre order it there then ill be able to get one? That just sounds too easy.
  6. I saw this on their website and it looks sweet. I saw the release is feburary 1st 2010 but it said limited release november 1 2009. Does anyone have any idea how to get one on the limited release. Thanks. Heres the putter:
  7. alright thanks. wheres the website you found that because im sure they have good info on them too.
  8. I have seen websites say things like late september for the release date of these but I haven't seen anything official. Does anyone know the exact date these will be coming out. Thanks.
  9. I just got the ap2's and they are very nice clubs. They have good feel, forgiveness and great looks so I can't see you going wrong with these. However after reading reviews and hitting them I have to agree that Mizuno's do have more of a buttery feel to them. To me I don't mind having a "muted" feel which describes the ap2's as long as the shots go where I want them to.
  10. I just came off of waiting for my AP2's for almost a month when I thought they were going to take a week or week and a half. It's tough but I'm confident you can make it through the waiting game.
  11. I have seen various pros use 3-9 irons and then remove their pitching wedge for a 48* wedge (vokey, Cleveland etc.). I am thinking about doing this but was wondering if anyone uses this bag configuration and how it works for them. I would think it would work nicely because I find it tough to chip with an iron style pitching wedge and having a vokey 48* would help with hitting lower chips with spin. Thanks.
  12. thanks guys. One more question. Does the insert in the Style really change anything or just makes a little different feel
  13. What are your opinions on the two of these. I know the select is the new one and the style is a couple years older but is their really that much difference between the two because Im sure the studio style can be had for less. Thanks.
  14. It really is amazing how many of us have bad experiences. Im 16 and everytime im in golfsmith the workers look at me like i shouldnt be touching clubs and stuff and it just really gets on my nerves. I cant believe that they dont close with how bitter and plain out mean some of their workers are (sorry about the bad stereotype).
  15. I have a good golfsmith story.... About 4 years ago I bought some used taylormade rac os for $200. They were in great shape and I really liked them. Fast forward 2 years and Im back at golfsmith trading them in. I trade them for something like $70, way too low but I just did it because I wanted the new irons. Another month later I go back just browsing through the used irons rack and I see my irons there. I could tell they were mine because of a few specific marks on the irons. I check the price out of curiosity and they were either 299 or 399!!!(cant remember actual price) I just giggled that they can get away with something like that.
  16. they are called the mizuno mp t-10 white satin wedges. They look a lot different than the old mizuno wedges.
  17. Theres no rakes because the course has more bunkers than any course in the world. For example the second hole probably has about 25 bunkers going along each side of the fairway. This is from my memory when I walked it for the Crump Cup (amateur tournament) two years ago. For those who don't know, this is the only day of the year Pine Valley lets the public in to look at the course and watch the top amateurs in the country play. I live about 20 minutes from pine valley and for those hoping to play it dont get your hopes up. Pine Valley is probably the hardest course to get on in the world. Just to be a member, you have to be invited by a couple members then approved by a commitee, then pay the money (not cheap). I caddy at a nearby course and there are actually ten or so pine valley members there. I caddied for the Mayor of Pine Valley once (Pine Valley probably consists of 50 citizens). Also, caddying at Pine Valley is everyone's dream in this area. Its upwards of 110 bucks a bag depending on who your caddying for.
  18. http://proamgolf.com/2010-MP-T10_Wht-Satin.jpg Edit: http://http://www.mizunousa.com/equi...=10glf1-wedges
  19. I saw them in person at golfsmith and I would post pics but I don't know how cause Im bad with computers.
  20. and they look pretty sweet. In my opinion they look different then most other wedges. I think it might be that they have a smaller club head. Ive never had a mizuno wedge or even hit one but I might actually get one of these just because I like the look. Anyone else seen these?
  21. Anyone have one of these because i looked on the website and they are 34.99 for the classic plus series which I have hit like 2 putts with and it felt pretty good. Thanks.
  22. I would think the removeable face would be so you could put a new face on after 6 months or so of use because the face of a wedge wears after use and loses the ability to create a lot of spin.
  23. Thanks Bobz, i never thought of that thanks for the ideas. Im probably going to start looking at schools this fall/winter and then ill start sending out scores and all that stuff.
  24. Cobra bafflers are really nice and you can get the 2 year old models pretty cheap.
  25. Thanks for the advice guys. I think im definately going to try to go division 2 but i guess it really depends on how I do this spring in my high school tournaments and state tournaments.
