  1. Thanks, I got the customer service number off of Nike's website. I will give them a call in the morning before I head out to class. I'll let you know what they tell me. Its dark outside right now, but I wanted to hit a ball with it just to see if I could hear what the guy was talking about. It sounded normal and as far as I could tell I blasted the ball pretty far. I hit it into the woods and it took awhile before I heard the ball hit off a tree... So I might call Nike anyways and see what my options are tomorrow. Probably wait until after I try the club out on Wednesday before I try to send it back. Would it be smart to get the new club if they'll let me, or should I stick with this one? What should I tell them? That the driver used to have a rattle in it and when the ball is hit it doesn't make a loud ping like it should? Basically that is how the guy that sold me the clubs explained it to me...
  2. Yeah, the grips and everything else on each club is in like new condition. I won't have to replace anything in this set anytime soon. I'm supposed to go golfing next Wednesday, I'm going to try the driver out and see how it works. If it seems messed up, I'll look into sending it back? What is the new version of this driver? Isn't it the sasquatch or sumo? Also, do you know if I have to go through someone like golf usa to send the driver back to Nike, or could I call them and do it myself?
  3. I ended up buying the set for $325 before you left me this message. I took the driver to a golf shop and they said there was nothing wrong with it and if I had any problems with it I can just bring it to them and they'll fix it. They said if there is something major that is wrong with it, I could send it to Nike and should be able to get a new driver. The guy also threw in a 56 degree Taylor Made wedge. http://www.globalgolf.com/Product/Go...spx?gd=1∣=4 That one to be exact. My friend is also buying my old set for $100.
  4. I just talked to him and he said he would take $325 for it. Should I do the deal?
  5. Ok I just called him and the putter he is including with it is a Taylor Made Monza Rossa. He also said his roomate used the driver and that it has a rattle noise on the inside and it works fine, but it doesn't sound good when you hit with it. He said I could take the driver to a proshop and that they would be able to send it off for me and get a new one.
  6. I'm not for sure if this is a good deal or not, but the clubs look really nice. I am going to start playing golf next week and I would really like to have a nice set of clubs that will last me a while. I currently have a set of Golden Bear clubs and a Ram putter. Here are the specs on the set I currently own. I have a friend who is wanting to purchase this set off of me and I could use the money towards the clubs I am asking about. The clubs I'm wanting to know about is the Nike NDS line and the clubs that comes with it is3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and PW. The set also includes a Nike Ignite driver . He is also including a putter, which I assume is Nike brand, but I'm waiting on him to give me some info on it and also a carrying bag with some tees and a glove. He is asking $375 for all of this - says it has only been used a handful of times NIKE NDS 3-PW golf set NIKE Ignite Driver - 460cc 9.5 degree loft Taylor Made Monza Rossa NIKE Carry bag with copper club head cleaner, Nike Glove, and misc tees. Here are some pictures of the stuff, should I sell my set to my friend and buy this one? Would this be a fair price for all of this, or should I ask him to go lower on it? If I should ask to go lower, what would be a fair price for it?
  7. Thanks for the reply fusioncal. If the guy says he'll go down in price at all, I'll post how much is wanting to sell them for. Just so everyone knows, this is the set I'm currently using http://www.nicklaus-golf.com/gbg/pre...dels/gbpro.php
  8. I'm new to golfing and I found a person selling some Nike NDS clubs on craigslist. Here is what he has for sale He is asking $300 for the set, but he does say the price is negotiable. He is also selling a "Like New NIKE IGNITE 460 9.5 degree" for $50, and a NIKE bag for $60. Should I make an offer for this stuff or try to get him to come down in price? I have a set of Golden Bear clubs my friend would like to buy off me, would it be worth selling those and buying this set? Here are some pictures of the clubs he is selling too.
  9. I wonder how much the set I bought sold for brand new? Is Golden Bear a good brand or are they cheap-o?
  10. I've actually used these a few times on the driving range and thats about it. I'll be going to play the front 9 at my local golf course on Monday. I hope I do good with them!
  11. I haven't started yet, but I believe there is a course close to me that costs around $7 to play 9 holes. I'm just starting out, so that will probably be good enough for now.
  12. I'm going to start playing golf with my friends and I was looking to buy a cheap set of clubs so I stopped by the pawn shop on Friday to see what they had. I ended up finding this set. More info on the clubs here http://www.nicklaus-golf.com/gbg/pre...dels/gbpro.php The picture says Ladies, but I got the Men's version of the clubs. GB PRO KEY PRODUCT FEATURES: WOODS (1-3-5) 400cc Hyper Ti Alloy Oversized Driver Versatile Oversized Fairway Woods Deep Burgundy Wood Finish UST Graphite Shafts GB All Weather Grips IRONS (Men's 3-PW; Ladies 4-SW) Stainless Steel Construction Deep Cavity Weight balance System UST Graphite Shafts GB All Weather Rubber Grips I also got this Ram FX3 model 1 putter with it. http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/...122138047_.jpg All of it came in a nice looking golf bag, with quite a few tees and some other misc stuff. I paid $65 for all of it. The clubs look like they have only been used a handful of times. Here is a picture of everything in the bag. I had to use my cell phone to take the picture, but hopefully you'll be able to get a general idea of what the bag and clubs look like. http://img236.imageshack.us/my.php?i...1062338hh4.jpg Does anyone here know if I got a good deal on this set? About how much would it cost if I went out and bought this brand new? Also, is this a good beginners set for me? Thank you for the help!
