Hey guys, first time poster here.
I've casually played golf for a long time and took some lessons in Jr. High but since then haven't played more than once or twice a year with zero practice. I'm trying to get back into it now and would love to just be able to break 100 but my swing completely falls apart once I get out on the course. Things will go well at first and then eventually I'm stuck to shanking/chunking them thirty yards at a time. My swing isn't the prettiest but looks much better than it performs. Looking for some pointers to try and get some more consistent ball striking to enjoy the game more. One thing to note, is I'm having more fun now than ever. I used to get very upset with my poor playing but now I'm just thankful to be out there.
Appreciate any feedback.
I've been Playing Golf for: 20 years (1 serious, 19 VERY casual) My current handicap index or average score is: 100-120 My typical ball flight is: low draw or shank The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: anything over 150yds...except for the occasional driver that goes 300yds.
