  1. Will have a go on Wednesday, Off topic , what's the general consensus of one length irons! I'm seriously considering getting some!
  2. Thanks on these video I thought I had weight centered through my feet, this is the dreaded shank. It's a nightmare uploading to YouTube now it's constantly trying to make my videos shorts even though I haven't pressed the shorts button
  3. Been really struggling this week practicing, seems like I'm shanking every ball, whilst looking at video I'm dipping my head quite considerably. Today at the range I did much better with the swing thought of keeping weight on my heels and trying to keep the weight there, it provided much better strikes on the face (middle) I cant hit it out of the toe for the life of me. I always thought I toed it before but it's been the shank shot (found out using impact tape , all my new clubs have ball prints all over the shank.
  4. Not sure why the other link is not embedding sorry
  5. Here is my brothers swing, strange how we have never played golf together or seen his swing before
  6. Could this be because of mobility issues , I only ask because my brother plays and Ive never seen him play until recently and we have a very similar backswing, his being very short. Do genetics play apart in this?
  7. Cheers , I worked on my tempo to a good standard using the zepp device had it to a 3:1 , now it's more 2:1 . Think I'm trying to change too much , I'm happy I can hit my woods now though 🤣🤣🤣 I wouldn't even attempt to use it during a round before last week , I'd leave in the car and always use my hybrid
  8. Stayed with the instructor, the next lesson he told me to forget the fade shot and try to hit the ball more in to out. I've managed to get some more consistently aswell as getting fitted/trying out new irons and a driver. Ended up getting some Callaway xr steelheads and a pxg gen 4 0211. Driver was 25 yards further and less right 😂 7 iron previous was 130/140y if I hit it well 2/10 strikes. Now it's 160/170y hitting it well 8/10 (even though the face looks much smaller) Irons are much longer but I understand they are lofted stronger. I'm hitting the ball much better than I was with my previous Wilson launchpads. Best tip I was told so far was whilst my driving fitting the fitter said my forearms were very static on the downswing and told me to rotate them which has helped me close the club face which I'm struggling with. My trackman numbers are now between 0 and 2 were before they were around -8. Club face is still slightly open. I've done some reading on stack and tilt and really like the look of the swing and I've got better at striking the ball with more weight on my left leg intially and during the back swing. Tempo has sped up again , I struggle to slow things down .
  9. Yes I thought the same, Think I will change instructors.
  10. What are you thoughts on using tees on the range instead of hitting off the mat? Instructor told me to tee the ball up for irons shots only smallest tee at the range obviously. Told me it instills confidence. Going to the range tomorrow to practice
  11. Cheers Scott I did mention about coming back in a few weeks but he said why not next week. I'll have a break and practice in-between as I have a nice holiday to Jamaica to enjoy
  12. Just an update had a lesson and the pro mentioned I had very bowed wrists and he was going to work with that , he said my swing path is out to in, and saw I frequently pushed the ball to the right ( I thought it was a slice) he changed my allignment so I was aiming slightly left of the target and mentioned I was finishing to far high in the both and not rotating enough in both swings. We worked on lowering the pose and rotating more on the downswing and lining the ball up closer to the toe and within 15 minutes I was hitting lovely fades . He said that is my shot shape and to stick with what I have what feels more natural. 7 iron results off trackman were averaging 150y carry 82mph swing speed Around -6 swing path and a slightly closed face I think it was -5 (Intially it was a larger minus swing path and an open face) I have another lesson next week , He's advised me to allign up with all my clubs in a similar way. Told me to work on what I've got he mentioned I have a similar swing to John Rahm 🤣 Strike efficiency was around 1.15 so lots to work on. I'm booked in next week for another lesson. Lots to work on
  13. Funny you should share this , received a grip aid today but I have shovel hands. I'm definitely hitting the ball with an open Face, I tried some drills today at the range. I'm definitely connecting better with the ball. Balls are still going high and right , even with an exaggerated in-out path. Maybe not as much right . Ive booked a lesson tomorrow. Will continue to update.
  14. Thank you, really appreciate it

  16. As promised At work all weekend and it's blowing a gale over here currently.
  17. Thank you for the kind welcome , I was worried about positive , I've already had one lesson and looking to book another one , in the lesson the instructor gave me a drill on focusing on transferring weight as I was massively keeping most pressure on my trail leg resulting in fats. I think your right about the outside-in swing path, I have been focusing lots on my swing plane last few weeks as I was really over the top intially but managed to correct this I think according to zepp.
  18. I've been Playing Golf for: 6 months My current handicap index or average score is: 110 My typical ball flight is: push slice The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: slice, fats and thins. My driver is my favourite club of choice and can normally hit the fairway 8/10 tikes roughly around 200y in the winter. Irons are 8/10 times a high slice, start right and finish even more right normally oob and they are costing shots. I hit lots of fats and sometimes thin also .
  19. Hi everybody new here and also new to golf. Long story short is I have 3 sets of irons I've managed to buy second hand Which would help a beginner better I've used all three at the range and bought a zepp device and manage to get better club head speed on the powerbilt 1.Callyway big Bertha 1996 graphite irons 2.Powerbilt Grand slam (oversize) but big Berthas are larger 3.Howson GBH Aggression All cavity backs. Currently trying to find a newer driver also Currently have an cobra S3 and Nike sumo sq but absolutely slicing to the right everytime Thanks
