  1. I would think you would have to move your spot every so often and reseed. Maybe put down sod after you "destroy" a patch? You could always ask the groundskeeper at a club or range with grass tees. They'd probably be happy to talk shop if they're not too busy.
  2. Maybe you can find a smaller park that would let you hit the flight limited practice balls, or birdie balls (they fly about 40 yds at the most, but still slice and hook).
  3. I used to have this problem when I played as a teen. I took an extended break from the game (I lost the thrill and money in college was tight). After getting back into the game, I read Hogan's 5 fundamentals (went from interlocking to overlap) and very much agree with DBeane. I like tighter than normally prescribed grip pressure, but it's only in the last 3 fingers of the left hand and the middle two of the right. The trigger fingers and thumbs are there for the ride and not to influence the swing. I found I can still release the club pretty well by squeezing the hell out of the club with the last three fingers of the left hand, but it does promote a fade from an inside approach.
  4. I like the Boomerang putting system. I found two sites selling it, where one version was slightly cheaper (the one I have). The one I have maybe an older version, but both versions appear to work the same. You putt one ball across the 8' mat and up the ramp, while trying to get it to catch in the shallow cup (its adjustable by rotating it cw/ccw). The second ball you hit harder to knock the first out of the cup, and have both balls return to you. The beauty is that the ramp should return your misses and your makes. All you need is a flat surface, and you can start working on straight putts and distance (change the height to 1 of 6 heights or move closer along the mat). Edit: According to the seller, the mat and ramp measure 11.5 on the stimpmeter. I'm not sure what the height of the ramp changes, but it mimics fast greens.
