Hey everyone, I have attached a video of my driver swing and answered a few questions I found on another thread on here. I feel like my current driver shaft is too stiff and would like to purchase a new one. I am currently leaning towards a project x evenflow 6.5 70 gram shaft shaft. I think I would like the heavier shaft which would help smooth out my swing. I am looking to order online without actually swinging one in a store. My 150 yard club is a 9 iron. Any help is greatly appreciated.
https://youtu.be/QOYOnFjT0fA 1. What is the club existing set up? ( loft, shaft, flex, swing weight, length, etc ) As detail as possible please.
Ping g400 max lofted up to 10 degrees with ping tour 65 x stiff shaft
2. What type of swinger are you ( smooth or quick tempo swinger )? Loading factor on your swing? Heavy or light loader?
This is what I am unclear about. I have attached a swing video to hopefully get some help on this.
3. On a scale 1-10 how consistent is your swing? where is your striking ability?
When I play consistently, striking ability is not an issue.
4. What is the the problem w/ the existing set up?
I feel like this shaft is too stiff and too light. It is hard for me to hit a draw and I have a low ball flight with absolutely no spin. Ball carries around 260 and rolls another 30 on average.
6. What are you trying to change or achieve on your new set up?
A higher ball flight with a little more spin so that I can carry the ball further.
7. What is your shots tendency on mistakes when you are not playing so good? Do you have any problem missing a shots on the face of the club? where?
My mistake tendencies are a fade with this driver or a snap hook every now and then when I really try to swing out of my shoes.
8. What is your shots tendency (ball flight) that you like when you are playing good?
I like a mid trajectory ball flight with not too much spin, but not a knuckle ball like I am hitting right now.
9. If you have to pick, what ball flight is more comfortable for you to hit...High or low? Draw or Fade?
I would rather hit high with a fade.
10. What type of course condition you are playing most? Where are you from?
I live in Georgia so hot and dry mostly.
