  1. Well, after doing research this is the list of clubs I'm most likely going to try when I head to GG. Titleist AP1's, Taylormade Burner Plus, Nike Full Cavity, Ping G15/I15, Mizuno JPX/Pro and the MX-100. These seem like the clubs through looking at the reviews and specs that would help me the most, now when I go I'm going to get fitted because I'm almost positive I need extra length and maybe Lie adjustment. The question is, after getting these, do I then buy a new SW and LW to go with? hmm more and more decisions to be made. I appreciate everyone's input.
  2. Hey all, So I was researching some Am golf tours in Pennsylvania and came across the PA golf association. I was wondering if anyone had an experience in playing any of these? Just looking for some thoughts, Hoping to expand my golf tournaments from the standard local scrambles, in hopes of maybe playing in some real stroke play tournaments. Any thoughts much appreciated!
  3. I've been checking ebay, lookin at the Nike SQ tour stand bag, has everything I want and been seeing it for less than 125. I've been making a killing on ebay in the past year golf wise. Cleveland 48 degree PW for 20 dollars plus shipping, it was brand new in the wrapper, got Tifosi sunglasses for 30 dollars plus shipping, retails for 60. I'm a huge ebay fan as long as I make sure I buy from reputable buyers.
  4. So along with the new Irons i'm going to purchase this year, I'm looking for a new bag. I currently have an Olimar bag and the bag that came with my set of clubs. I'm looking for a stand bag because I will be walking occasionally for the fun of it and but am looking for as many pockets, along with hopefully 14 way top with full length dividers.. I am having trouble finding a GOOD quality bag that won't cost me $200. Any thoughts??
  5. Thanks again to all of your comments. This is by far the most productive forum on the internet. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I wish I could help you all with something like you have for me. I will let you all know what I end up getting when the time comes, untill then it's time to scour the internet in research.
  6. I was intrigued when I looked up the new Mizzies line. I had thought abotu them before, but the places I was going to look for clubs at ie dicks sporting goods, don't carry them, but then I decided I might as well spend the time to drive down to GG to get fitted and ahve a larger selection. I currently have a Mizuno in my bag, don't know which one it is, picked it up at a play it again sports because it had an extra 2 inches in length, and i wanted to see what the length did for me. I threw out my other 6 iron and exclusivly use it haha Its a blade, so I don't always hit it quite right, but when I do, damn does that ball fly....
  7. Thanks so far for your thoughts. I'll have to take a look at the new Ping g15. I had read that the g10's got such great reviews when they first came out, so i'm def. going to take my time with this choice. No rushing it, I plan on having these Irons for as long as I can.
  8. So I'm set to most likely get $700 dollar tax return this spring, was going to wait untill I graduated from school to get a new set of Irons as a present, but why wait that long when I can practice with a new set all spring on my college course for free? I'm planning on going to the golf galaxy in Towson, MD, and i am looking for a new set of game improvement irons. Last year, I was consistently hitting mid to high 80's, only been playing golf for 4 years now. I figure if I get fit correctly, my 6'3 frame will b finally be able to hit consistent iron shots. I have been living off my wedges and hybrid. The question is, what irons do you all think would be best for myself? Been looking at the Titleist AP1's, Nike VR full cavity, and the TM burner plus. Is there any other kind that would be good to test out (because I am testing as many sets as I want, I don't care if I have to go to golfgalaxy 4 times. thanks for your help!
  9. If looking for places with low price, I would have to vote Man O War and Waterway Hills. Both I believe are in North Myrtle, but amazing courses, with decent prices. Stay away from Man O War though if you don't like water. If i remember correctly 14 holes cross water at some point, and they have back to back Island greens on a par 4 and a par 3. Well worth the trip.
  10. Last weekend picked up Adam's Tom Watson 3 pack of Wedges, and a Cleveland 900 series 48 dgree PW. Looking to pick up a hybrid soon, don't know which one to try out and purchase. Local place has some Adam's on sale, but not quite sure.
