  1. I just got a set of face saver plus headcovers for my irons and it came with 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PW and SW. I also have a Gap Wedge (GW) and Loft Wedge (LW) and there are no headcovers specifically for those wedges. It realy makes me mad that I can't have the correct covers for all of my clubs and XW just doesn't make it for me. Has anyone ever seen headcovers for the odd wedges?
  2. 70% of the shots in golf come from inside 150 yards. So wedges and putters are realy the most important clubs in your bag. The older you get the harder it is to modify your swing speed for various situations so having multiple wedges is a key component. Also, you tend to hit your 3 and 4 irons about the same distance so drop the 3 iron and pickup a gap wedge. My set gives me the most flexability with a PW at 44deg, GW at 50deg, SW at 55deg and LW at 60deg. This puts me on the green from most distances inside of 150.
  3. Hey Folks, I stumbled onto this forum and found the posts interesting and thought I'd join in. I've been playing a long time and my handicap has gone from 20 - 30 depending on how much golf I play in any given year. Lately I've decided that I need to apply myself to the repeatable and technical aspects of the game i.e., equipment (Senior shafts and a high level of forgiveness), setup (Stance Minder), swing plane (Medicus Driver), Warm-up (Momentus), etc. Since I have never been able to pull it all together over the last forty years, I decided to focus on the things you can do consistanly or buy and then put in the back of your mind. I can then concentrate on the things that remain variable. If I learned anything over the years, I've learned that consistancy is the key to enjoying golf. Even if you shoot in the 90's if you do it consistantly, it can be a fun, positive and enjoyable experience. Once you get past the struggle and start enjoying the game you will naturally play more relaxed and your game will improve on its own. All it takes is patience and a love of the game.
