When I began taking lessons, I didn't know if I would be better swinging right-handed or left-handed. I was a switch-hitter as a baseball player. I'm swinging right-handed (and making progress for the record!) The question is putting. When I play Putt-Putt or miniature golf, I've found I'm better lefty. Is it permissible under PGA rules to use a left-handed putter while using an otherwise right-handed set of clubs? Thanks.

I'm finally getting more distance with the woods (I hit several drives in the 190-210 yard range) and the instructor says I'm doing well on tee-offs with the 7-iron. We're trying putting next week.

Yeah... It's like baseball. The guys who muscle up to impress people with how far they can hit the ball are usually the same guys who hit .220-.230. Meanwhile, Albert Pujols hits .320-.330, 40-plus bombs, and gets 100 steaks with a smooth consistent swing.

LOL! The adventure of my first lesson is chronicled here . Dude, if there's one thing that you can find plenty of here with little difficulty it's golf courses. I guess there are seven or eight within a 20-mile radius of my home.

Hi! On another thread , I expressed a desire to take up golf. Well, I found a place close to home and I had an introductory lesson today. Mike McGee's the guy's name. I must've hit sixty or so balls. 7-iron only. I hit about ten or fifteen in the 100-120-yard range. Is that any good for a 7-iron? I hit about the same number of atrocities and completely whiffed on several of them. I had fun, though. Didn't swear once, either. The next proper full lesson is tomorrow.
