  2. That's a good idea. I have never thought of using my laptops webcam. I played the front nine the other day using a shortened back swing with the driver. Six of seven shots were in the fairway but I really feel like I am losing distance. I am hitting it as far as I do my 3 wood. It did feel pretty good to hit it straight. Now I just need 20 to 30 more yards out of it.
  3. So I have had a terrible time hitting my driver. I have a massive slice that almost always ends up in the next fairway over. Today I decided to go to the driving range and try to figure it out. After a few of my normal massive slices I decided to start by taking a half swing... straight as an arrow. After a dozen or so straight shots like that I moved up to 3/4 swing. The shots were still straight for the most part and when I did miss it was a small hook. When I went back to my full swing the slice was back though not quite as bad. Still not playable though. I was pretty happy with my 3/4 swing though I am not sure on distance as the driving range didnt have yardage markers. I just wonder if I am overswinging on my full swing or what the deal is. Any ideas? I may have to invest in a video camera.
  4. Thanks for all the responses. I have played the Bridgestone tru soft (i think) and really liked the feel of the ball but not so much on the distance. I was actually thinking of trying the Q star but have never played Srixon balls before. Think ill give this one and the E5 a shot. Played yesterdays round with a NXT and played pretty well.
  5. Thanks. I have tried the NXT and like that ball. I have also played a few bridgestone balls but never the E6. I think I may try that out. I could really use a ball that will help me keep my drives straight.
  6. I recently bought a Cobra S3 3 wood and I absolutely love it! Has anyone played these irons? I am looking for a new set and would love to hear some reviews. I am left handed so no place around here has any I can hit.
  7. Lately I have been experimenting with golf balls, trying to find a happy medium between a distance ball and a feel ball. I would really like to hear what balls you have experience with and like. I am right about 20 handicap and looking to improve. I am just picking the game back up after about 6 years away, so much has changed. What is a good priced ball that offers both feel and distance?
  8. There are some really nice light weight carry bags out there. It really just depends on what you have to spend. Check out the Nike Collegiate Carry. This might be a good one for you. http://www.golfbagshq.com/nike-collegiate-carry-review/ Also, the Callaway Hyper-Lite bags are very good and check out Ogio also. You can definitely find a good bag for less than 100 bucks.
  9. Hey everyone, I am new here. Looks like a great place for information. Well I just picked up the game again after about six years away from it. I am in the process of replacing some of my older golf clubs and could use some help. Currently I am playing some old TaylorMade Supersteel irons. I hit them straight but have really lost some distance. I would like to replace them with a new set of irons that are forgiving but also provide good distance. I am currently a 18 to 20 handicap player, left handed and just had my swing speed tested = 92. I have always been a big fan of TaylorMade but I have really liked some of the Cobra irons I have looked at. The problem is not many places around here have left handed irons for me to hit. Have any of you hit or currently play the Cobra s2 or s3 irons? How do you like them. I am really open to suggestions here and not stuck on any one brand. Which irons do you think I should be looking at as I have a max price range of about 400-425. Anything higher than that probably lands me in divorce court.
