2. Hey guy, unfortunately I could not remember my old sign in, but I am the original poster. I appreciate all the feed back. Also wanted to point out a lot of you are confused on some of the articles. The article by G&E magazine was done on me. The other article where it is referred to as the life on tour and the quy quitting is not me. I am still hard at it, in fact more than I have ever been. I am currently in Canada preparing for Q school on the Mackenzie tour . I am unfortunately on the wait list due to all fields filling up in less than 12 minutes. But it looks like I will get in. I will be between Canada Australia and the United States this year. I was able to take some time off before Christmas and have some of my injuries cleaned up. And tbh have never felt better or more confident that I will be there soon. Anyone wanting to following me can follow my instagram @mjbond23 I thank everyone following supporting or not. Everyone drives me in a different way. play well Matthew
3. Thanks for the support I am receiving I will be updating you all with my results in my first event. Cheers
4. My coach Ian Triggs arrives in a week to spend some time going through some mini tour events and see how I cope. All going well If I feel I am ready then I will defiantly go. It is on the radar.
5. I really do not care if you believe me. This was a simple update for some people who had followed me. Happy hitting.
6. Those scores are 2011. Any way we will see how my results go.
7. Playing Carolina mountain tour on Monday and will look to play the e tour even on the 30th of August. No results yet as only turned pro last week.
8. I have video updates on my Instagram mjbond23
9. I am not sure how to upload videos from my phone. But would love some help to show you guys the progress
10. Hi Guys, had forgot about this thread. An update for any one who wants one. I have moved from Australia to USA SC to continue this dream. I have turned professional and have my first mini tour event on the 11th of August. I am working harder than ever. I plan on play the E Tour in the Carolina's and some more pay to plays to prepare me for Canadian Q school. Thanks to all the supporters.
11. No 9 hole course there that course your referring to is 27 ... With three individual 9's so the can switch up the 18 you play each week..
12. I see everyone's point... Yes my first drop was fast from 22.4 to I think round 16 then another quick drop to 13... But sat on a 11-12 for a while the missing time on these cards is when I was back In australia and those scores are on golf link.. Any way guys I do thank you for the advice and feedback... This was literally my first ever forum . I will keep you updated on results .. I have a 10,000 pro am on tues day and then pre q for Queensland open.
13. I
Look, you apparently have talent, but it takes consistency and a certain mentality. I have a 22 yr old son. When he was 12, he began taking golf more seriously. By the time he was 18, he didn't do half of what I asked him to do, lift weights, practice, play more, and he shot low 70's as a hs senior. The problem was weather - if the weather sucked or wind blew, which resulted in long 6 hr rounds, he caved. Those 70's blew up to 80. He lost his focus. Body language was terrible. And then when he started lifting weights at 19, he stopped playing ... He says it's easy to hit the ball when you're strong. Yeah, I was telling him that for years. When he does play, he shoots 74-82 without practice. Scoring is not a problem for most good players, It's wanting it, consistency, and mental focus. Point is - Listen to your Dad! :-$ No, really, as I said, if you work hard enough, young, and have talent, you can shoot low scores. Can you shoot low scores consistently and in crap conditions? Do you have tournament mentality? Do you have what it takes? My son was a bit of a gambler, competitive, let it go type of guy and loved tournament golf. You've got to love tournament golf. My son just didn't like practicing. He was doomed. Do you have it?
I too love tournament golf and seem to perform better under the pump.. I have now got a physio and trainer... Along with my coach .. As I said posting in this forum was not the best idea, I see that now but helpful comments like this are appreciated..
14. Thank you guys for all feedback .. I will continue my golf everyday knowing each day is one day closer.
