Thanks! Sadly no, normal blue tees, I've just been playing 2-3x a year since, well forever. Now I am playing more, gearing up and taking lessons, so there is marked improvement. I don't even have a handicap yet :)

I'm a casual golfer getting back into the game. I've been trying out a bunch of clubs at the local simulator and seem to have settled on some maltby HMS heads. Does anyone have any comments on golf galaxy build quality, etc? For the money, they are very affordable and should be better than my 16 year old no-name set I have now, and once I know I am playing more, getting a stronger back and becoming more consistent, I can move into a better suited set. Feedback?

I won't say what I shot last week but after 10 years I finally got a birdie :)

Get fitted for sure. I got fitted today (am I allowed to say where?) and it helped a ton. They even helped correct some aspects of my swing before trying out the clubs I was interested in.

I write Macintosh software, live in Portland, Ore and am a hack of a golfer :) Steve
