  1. Absolutely love it. Especially the White/Black/White version. I think it could still use an alignment aid, though. Maybe the #7 will have something.
  2. Taylormade isn't in business to make drivers that look appealing to us. There formula is simple. Pay whatever it takes in order to ensure that they have the most pros using their products so at the end of the day they can say "#1 driver on tour". When you can take those drivers and make them visually impossible to miss, you've added a whole new element. They are now a marketing company first, club design company second. These paint jobs make it impossible for any spectator to miss. People want to play what the pros play. The R11 was marketing genius. Luke Donald, Paddy Harrington, Davis Love, etc couldn't hide behind their Mizuno and Bridgestone headcovers anymore. Everyone knew that they were playing TM. This just follows suit. Nike picked up on it. Everyone will see the big red Nike Driver. Technology is maxed. Bring on the paint jobs, baby!
  3. Overall cast GI irons will be more forgiving that Forged GI irons because of the weight that the discretionary weight that the designer can use in the design process. With a Cast Iron there will be much more weight to distribute at the sole and around the perimiter. With that said, I'm currently playing the Wishon 560MC's (Forged GI) and can't believe how many times I've thinned a shot and ended up right in front of the green. They're certainly more forgiving than some of the Cast GI irons I have played. But as a whole, cast would probably win the battle.
  4. Both the G5 and the Rapture are stock 46" for this very effect. For most (including 95% of the PGA Tour) 46" is too long as it reduces the amount of on-center hits. However, PING's mission is to make the ball go farther and the occasional on center bomb with a 46" club will give you around 10 extra yards with a SS around 105-110. I think Adams also does 46" while the majority of the OEM's keeps it at 45"...while the majority of the PGA tour keeps it under 45"
  5. I switched my 5 wood for a 19* hybrid and have been very happy with the results. I have a lot more control and hit much more straight shots with the hybrid. I did have graphite in my 5 wood and switched to Rifle Airlite in the hybrid, which could have a little to do with it. Oddly enough, I hit the hybrid better of the deck than the tee.
