  1. Hey guys, has anyone had any experience with either of these two putters in the circa charcoal mist series? I have used them both in a retail store and felt amazing, am very close to purchase, but I am not sure which to go for? #2 or #3, any suggestions? what are the different necks for? forward press etc? or is it simply a feel thing? Has anyone tried/bought this putter and how does it perform/compare to the circa 62 black and other scotty putters? Any suggestions? Thanks guys from downunder!
  2. Why didnt they show Geoff Ogilvy, i know there was a swing here and there, but he is the defending US Open champ...I love watching his swing!!!
  3. Just heard that Frank Licklitter had seen Mickelson in Dallas on Tuesday. So if this is correct, Mickelson has in fact lied to the PGA Tour about his reasons for missing the Pro Am on the Wednesday. Will the PGA Tour come down on him hard?? considering Goosen got DQ'ed for missing his pro am time by sleeping in, what will happen to Mickelson? Suspension? loss of Fed Ex cup points? Thoughts?
  4. Thanks heaps guys for your input. It sounds like casting is what is happening...I used to swing flat and coach has helped me swing more upright being around 6'4 but i think i have gotten to upright. I was playing yesterday and on the 14th tee my friend noticed that my shoulders were pointing approx 30 metres left of where my feet and hips were aiming. After changing this and feeling extremely closed I started to hit the ball a lot better and had 2 birdies in the last 5 holes. I will endeavour to try the casting tips you guys have given me and ill report progress here. Just when I thought I had my swing in a place that was fairly reliable...ive had a tough two weeks lol Thanks guys!!!
  5. casting?? i dont think ive heard this term/problem before??
  6. I know there is probably not a single reason for this or without seeing swing footage...but the last couple of weeks my divots have been pointing left, with the ball starting at the intended target and finshing right and sometimes way right of the target. It is fine with the short irons but anyting longer than 6 or 7 iron and its horrible. Thedriver has been worst of late with sometimes 30-40 metre cuts. I have been told that my hips can get lazy and not turn...can this be a reason why divots are pointing left, basically swinging with just an arm swing?? Any suggestions? Cheers guys!!
  7. He has 2 10's and 2 9's in his last round. I surely hope the guys playing with him had no serious intention of qualifying becasue playing with that would have made it very difficult. Would love to have seen playing partners scores.

Geez Phil, you stunk on the course, god and you stunk out the toilet too!
  9. She doesnt do it for me, UNLESS she is wearing golf clothes and a hat lol!
  10. It all comes down to one reason...he is sponsored by Valvoline and when he gets to teh 18th, the cameras are always on him and tiger. WHen Tiger makes that winning putt the first thing you see it Tiger and Williams. He has been quoted on Australian radio down here and that was his answer.
  11. Scratch is where you do not get shots on the hardest holes on the course. For example if you are a 10 marker, you would receive a shot on the 10 hardest holes for that course, or in stroke play, take 10 off your score...not sure if you understand, not the best examples I guess...anyone else? Also what is a good handicap for turning pro? scratch of +1, 2 etc. Nick O"hern turned pro when he was on 2.
  12. I guess it all comes down to the amount of time he is willing to put into it. He has just got a night job so he can spend the majority of his day at the course. Its just that I see mny 16-17 year olds with 0-4 handicaps and at 22 just seems to be behind the 8 ball. Many members around the club talk about him and his potential etc. I mean you can make a career out of golf without playing the USPGA tour etc....?
  13. My brother who is 22 years old has been told by his coach who played on many tours across the world, that if he dedicated himself to golf over the next year or 2, he could compete with the best amateurs in the country and then see what happens. I am not so sure, his handicap is 6 and although he hits the ball like a scratch player, as soon as he misses a green, his short game would be a 12-15 handicap Do you think it is possible at such a late age to dedicate yourself to golf and in fact make a career out of it?
  14. To watch Tiger's strategy at the British was amazing, it just shows how far ahead of everybody in the mental stakes he really is. In regards to his fairway %, I think it all comes down to his swing speed, if he took a little bit off he would hit more fairways, but he does what he does becasue he is super confident in whatever shot he decides to hit. Its so scary to think he swings the driver st 80%. My driver swing speed is 105mph, if i even tried to swing at 130mp I would lose all control and balance
  15. I agree with Thrash 13 that Scott has not been aggressive as much when it counts in majors, but after Ogilvy winning and Scott stating that he is going to take his chances and be more aggressive in the majors. I think a breakthrough win is not too far off the cards. His play at Hoylake was much better and if only a few more putts had dropped and he didnt lose 3 strokes on the last 2 holes, he would of been higher up the leaderboard. In saying that, many other players could have had a few more putts drop and it could have been a different story. Although I don't think anyone would have beaten Woods.
