Exactly.... Less control with more whippy shafts.

He looked very under control. Well on TV anyways. Haha. But Sean Foley is doing a great job with him. I think that because the course played so short, apart from Saturday, they didnt hit many drivers. And if they did, they werent trying to get as much distance out of each tee shot.

I'm with most of you guys, playing a fade is much more consistant and way easier to control. I'm willing to sacrifice a few yards to be in the fairway every hole.

The stiffer the shaft, the more control you have, but you sacrifice some distance. If you have a more whippy shaft you will get more distance. The pros just have muscle memmory built into their golf swing, because of all the time they have to, like you said, practice.
