  1. I ran into this site that got me intrigue about the reason why tiger woods isn't number 1 anymore. It mentioned that his skill level hasn't changed but current personal issues might have caused tiger to loose the number 1 spot due to his mind and feelings. Example when your in a good mood, you get birdies from left to right. When your in a bad mood your swing is normally a few degrees off. Your mind and feeling play a big part in golf. Even the best of the best cant just use raw talent but also being mentally fit can make some changes in your handicap. Check out bettergolftraining.com to view the videos to help you improve the mental game in golf.
  2. Hello mate... I know what you mean. I've got the same swing that i've been trying to correct. I've heard over thinking the swing can makes it unnatural which ends up making you tense up rather than being relaxed. Here's some info on expertgolfgame.com or bettergolftraining.com about clearing your mind and strengthen your brain power to improve your game..It mentioned that you can play better and be more focused by just relaxing and putting your self in a positive relaxed mind frame to project positive energy for positive results in your game.
  3. Am still new at golf but when I was goofing around with my bud's before I started, we would have a few cold ones at the driven range. Since no one but my friend was serious about the sport back then we only had a few clubs available so we shared. When it was my turn to tee off I wasn't wearing any gloves and I gave it a swing. I nailed the ball but after hitting the ball, the club flew out of my hands and made a loud thump that got everyones attention when it hit the gutter from the roof that was covering us. Everyone that noticed the loud unusual noise, started to stare and giggle about what just happen. I quickly ran to grab the club that was about 20 to 30 meters away, got to the club and looked at everyone and yelled out, My bad... Game on! then quickly ran back to my friends that were just crying from laughter. What a great intro to golf... Haha!
  4. I have some buds with me, normally a group of 3 but they've been playing for a couple of years now. Am trying to improve so i can cope to their game level and surprise them with my swing when we play on weekends.. Thanks for the response.. I'll take it one swing at a time..
  5. Thanks weavej2.. I never thought about checking out the college driving ranges.. I;ll look into it and inquire about the available lessons they have for beginners. Thanks again
  6. Thanks minibludragon.. Thats good to hear there are free group golf lessons out there.. I need to keep my eyes open for that. My plan is to get the most basic lesson then practice what i've learned so I can get the hang of my swing. After I get the hang of it, am going to a pro coach to correct what am doing wrong and for him or her to point out what i should maintain and improve.
  7. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. If there are group lessons available for beginners, i'll check it out but so it'll be a little more affordable..
  8. Hi everyone, Am trying to figure out what would be more suitable for a beginner? Private lessons or group lessons? How many sessions would be good to start with? Please someone help out.. Thanks
  9. Hi, Am polishing my swing at the driving range so when i hit the greens, hopefully I wont slow down the other group from behind. haha! How often should your swing be accurate before you are considered a consistent swinger?
