I am looking for a good practice net for the garage. I don't want something terribly monstrous but of course it still needs to get the job done. I would love to hear some suggestions from this forum. Thank you

Anyone use the Par3pro golf simulator?
golf4tito replied to golf4tito's topic in Instruction and Playing Tips
If I were to invest in the p3pro, I would certainly select the model that includes the grass top surface. Did you find the results to be very accurate? -
I'd love to hear some reviews if anyone owns or has tried this product. Thanks you

Has anyone on these forums had a Golftec fitting before? If so, how was your experience? I am exploring club fitting options and would appreciate any information.

I've been golfing for approximately 2-3 months now, and although I've developed much more consistency in my swing, it is still evolving. With that being said, is it ever TOO early to get fitted clubs? Should I hold off until I feel my swing is even more settled?

New player here looking to invest in some higher quality clubs and move away from my Wilson box set.... I often hear about clubs being "forgiving", but I am curious to know what actually makes an iron, wood or driver "forgiving". With that being said, at what point in my learning process should I invest in some fitted clubs and is there ever a too soon? Thanks in advance for the insight and information...

I am a new golfer currently taking lessons and learning the fundamental mechanics of the game. I was looking for some supplementary instruction to what I gain from the golf pro I am working with. I have heard some positive things about Shawn Clement and his approach to teaching and I wanted to get this forums take on his instruction. So if you've ever followed his lessons or have an opinion to share I would love to hear it.

Anyone have any suggested drills or training aids that reinforce keeping your left arm straight? I find myself having a weak follow through and poor release because so often I compromise my left arm rather than keeping it straight as I release the club. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Thanks for the input. I never noticed but you are completely right, my swing is all arms and I used to play quite a bit of baseball in the past. I will get a video of my swing from behind but what do you suggest for encouraging the use of my lower body rather than being so reliant on my arms.
-
I see that I've had a few views but no feedback as of yet. Is there anything I can do to encourage some insight and opinions? I'd be happy to post more videos if that would be helpful. Thanks

I am a new golfer (one month at the game) looking for some insight on my swing. The video above is one of me swinging a 7-iron in my back yard while striking a plastic, practice ball. My current challenge is a consistent push of the ball to the right with an occasional push-slice. I'd really like to move forward and develop a consistent swing so that I can look at getting some new clubs that are custom fitted, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

How do you feel about buying clubs online?

Thanks for the input Ryan, Now the Burner 2.0's are cast rather than forged, did you go and try and get the clubs fitted after purchase? -

I guess I just want to lay a strong foundation as my skills develop rather than having my clubs potentially undermine my growth because they are poor fitting. -

You raise some excellent points erock. I am curious about the metrics involved in determining how a set of clubs fall within the game improvement spectrum, and not just from Maltby but from manufacturers, fitters, retailers and so on. It seems there is a degree of subjectivity when it comes to the classification of clubs. -

How do the R7s stack up against Taylormade's Superlaunch iron set? -

I feel pretty torn from the opinions I'm reading so far. I can certainly acknowledge the great deal you can get from purchasing clubs online but I've always heard that the only way to have a set of clubs that truly fit is to go to a brick and mortar facility for true customization. I guess I can always go to a brick and mortar facility and determine if I fit the "standard" club setting. -

How does fitting work out when buying clubs online? I've heard that it's a bad idea to buy cast irons online because it is extremely difficult to adjust the lie angle and that there is potential to break the club. -

Has anyone had any experience with taking a club to be fitted that they've bought online, especially a cast iron? Here is a sample link to an item on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/TaylorMade-Burner-Superlaunch-COMBO-Iron-set-w-M-Flex-/370490329923?pt=Golf_Clubs&hash;=item5642f1cb43 -

I saw a set of Taylormade Superlaunch irons on ebay at an impressive price. How do you feel about buying clubs online? Since these are cast irons would that effect the fitting process if I took them into a shop? I am somewhat leary about buying clubs online but the pricing is substantially better than some of the local shops in my area. -

As a beginner I need every bit of help I can get and so using sgi/mgi gear is a big asset. If you were to fill your bag with sgi/mgi gear, what clubs would you use?
