  1. Originally $799, but the demo day special was $699 plus $75 off for purchases over $700, then TEE sent me a $30 mail in rebate. So my final price was just under $600. Custom built and shipped to my front door. Im so excited.
  2. Went to a super demo day at a local range and hit every single iron offered by every single manufacturer, multiple times. I had completely intended on walking away with a set of MP-53 or AP2 today prior to going but to my suprise, I hit the Tour Edge Exotics Forged CB's so damn well I couldnt turn my back on them. I dont know what it was, but I could hit every shot in the bag and to perfection with each swing with these babies. My misses were hardly noticeable and they felt like straight butter. Ended up walking away with a set of 4-PW TEE forged CB's and a new CB4 Tour 13* 3 wood with RIP stiff shaft. With the demo day discounts, I got a smokin' deal and couldnt be happier. Anyone gaming these? If I had to rank the irons hit (just for you equipment junkies): TEE forged CB Mizuno MP-53 Wilson FG Tour V2 Ping I-20 Titleist AP2 TaylorMade Tour Preferred MC Cobra Amp forged Callaway Razor X forged
  3. Listened to a previously published Golf Smarter Podcast this afternoon and they had the president of Scor wedge company on air. The interview was really interesting hearing his theories on modern scoring irons and wedges in our sets we buy today. I went home and checked out the website and read the PGA show 2012 review of their product. It seems really legit. I play a set of TM burner plus irons and as my game has improved since getting into golf 1.5 years ago, Ive noticed that the fat cavity back 9, PW and GW in my set just lacks the feel Ive learned to love with the 56 and 60 vokeys in my bag. It seems like being able to customize these wedges to match your current scoring clubs' lofts could help my game a good bit. Especially inside 150. Anyone used these yet? Any thoughts?
  4. Being a weekend golfer, do you really feel that the tuning ability in the R11s is all that necessary? I've been looking around for a new driver lately and was wondering if I'd even use all that tuning stuff that the R11s has.
  5. Any suggestions going in? I'm excited. I've been playing for just over a year and have gotten my handicap down to under 14 but have sort of been stuck in the mid to high 80's for a few months now. Figured professional lessons would help a lot.
  6. A lot of the courses here in my area have a very short hard surfaced grass, sometimes a little bald areas around and just off the green. I normally pull out the 56 degree wedge just off the sides and back of the green to chip up, but on it seems on the hard stuff I just chunk it 6 inches or thin it across the green. Might be time to try the PW or 9i to kick it up on the green and let it roll. Thoughts?
  7. Is it when my irons start to feel kinda thick and chunky? I got serious with golf about a year and a half ago. I bought a set of TM Burner Plus irons and have been playing like crazy for about a year now with those. Im consistently in the mid 80's with those with the occasional 81 or 82. My ball striking with my irons is my strongest part of my game, short game being the worst. I still feel comfortable hitting these, but they are starting to feel a bit thick and chunky. I've demoed the Mizuno MP53's and MP58's and love them both. Is it too early to upgrade?
