I think that the main reason its going to better my game is the distances. Im gaing almost 25 yards. I know it sounds like a lot but the proof is there everytime I hit balls with these things. Its oging to be tough getting used too. Now insteady of hitting a 6 or 7 im hitting an 8 or 9. Much more acurate club softer landing etc...Well see what happens but people do say getting fitted is a big deeal.

Not on the course but on the range. I know sounds crazy but it was funny none the less. I walked up to the range and noticed a group of guys hootin it up about something so i walked over. There was a hawk sitting on top of one of the posts that hold the netting. The post stood what says 260 yards from the mat. These guys are trying to hit the pole so the hawk fly away? Well it was the furthest pole to the right so i stare at it for a min watch these guys fail a couple times and get an idea. I go all the way to the left and hit a big sweeping fade with my driver. The ball hits the net about 10 feet from the pole but rides the net right into it. Boooonnnnnngggg......Hawk flys away.....Guys cheer.............i go down to wedge and start practicing.

Thanks for the input guys. He did do a pretty thorough fitting. He spent a lot of time with me answered all my questions and even suggested that i try some of the less expensive irons before i dove into the cg 16s. I just couldnt help my self they feel great. I was hitting them long and able to work the ball much better then the Adams espesially the draw. It wasnt the first time i tried them I went a couple weeks ago and tried a bunch different sets and had them narrowed down to the burners and the clevelands. I knew pretty much what i wanted and I buy all my equipment from this business so I doubt he was bsing me for the sale. I just cant imagine that stifer shaft and a couple adjustments from my old clubs are going to make that much of a difference but he was making it sound like it really would. I guess well see if it ever warms up here in NY.

Well I just went in and got fitted for my new irons and found out some things just wondering what you guys think. I bought the set I have now 5 years ago. Theyre AdamsGT3 and though I used to love them I have notices that my ball flight has started to go more right to left but pretty inconsistent. I also notice that sometimes when I try to hit a fade or big draw the ball just doesn't react well. So when I went to try some new irons the pro i dealt with watched my swing and suggested I not use so much of a game improvement iron. I tested the Cleveland CG16 tour, Burner 2.0 tour, and I knew right away that I loved the CG16s. I can do things with these irons that I just cant do with the old set. I hit the CG16 6 side by side with mine and went from 165 to 195. The pro said that the because the shaft was so much stiffer I would notice A LOT more consistency. He also went to a 1* upright instead of 2*. He increased my grip size and added a half inch extension to my shaft length also.Have any of you changed equipment and seen big changes because the way this guy was talking the set i was using was hurting my game a lot.

Whats up guys new to the forum. Good luck reaching all your goals this season. I want to drop from a 7 to a 2. Dropped from 12 to 7 last year so hopefully i can keep up the trend.
