Played my first game at 45 last week....wow....look at what I have been missing

Been on the range off and on over the past few years with everything from my Dad's JC Penny's set to a some off brand I bought in the thrift store. I fell in love with the game friday when my dad took me out for the first time- golf is his life. I'm 45- have had several sports injuries in hockey and football- so my flexibility is terrible. I'm on a tight budget so looking to use my income tax return to buy a set of clubs- and I'm leaning towards the a set of Walter Hagen MS2... my question is do I get graphite or non-graphite. And at $200 anyone know how long this sale will go? I'm turning in my taxes on the 15th- so it will be 5-6 weeks to get the refund. Thanks-

My dad is addicted to golf- and at 45 he finally taught me the game. We went out for the first time- me using a used I picked up at a thrift shop. Compared to his Tommy Armour signature clubs from Penny's that he bought in 1973 that I've been using on the range- they hit pretty well. I didn't really think I would like golf-- I was amazed-- I loved it and can't wait to buy a real set of clubs. Coming to the forum to read about others' experience and learn all I can What a great game-- wish it wouldn't have taken this long to learn.
