  1. The shafts in mine are Action Lite stiff flex, which is the standard steel shaft Cleveland offers. I have not. I am not much of a hybrid guy......yet lol. I prefer the traditional look and feel. Not to toot my own horn, but I also do not feel like I need a hybrid set. I am 21 years old and hit the ball fairly long with a decent amount of control. Hopefully that doesn't come across as me being arrogant.
  2. I kinda like the white. I didn't think I would at first, but I have had a Burner 2.0 TP in my for a week now with no complaints. I am still getting use to the color, but it's growing on me for sure. Sorry for the continued derail....back on topic.
  3. So today I went and demo'd several sets of irons. I was in the market for a set that is a little more forgiving than my Titleist AP2's. I have no complaints at all on the AP2's, I just don't play/practice quite as much as I did when I first got them and I need/want something a little more forgiving. I tested the following clubs: 1. Cleveland CG16 Black Pearl (7 iron) 2. Cleveland TA7 (7 iron) 3. Taylormade Burner 2.0 (7 iron) To be honest, I loved all 3 clubs. It was a toss up for sure. The two things that drove me to go with the TA7's (aside from the look of the club) was price and feel. I got a full set for $320 with my PGA Superstore membership (and they are only $399 normal retail price). I was super stoked about the price! They also have a great feel to them. The other 2 clubs seemed to just bounce/launch the ball off the club face, which is fine if you NEED the distance. It was definitely cool to see 190-195 yards pop up on the screen hitting a 7 iron, but I was not looking for that. I was looking for feel, as I am a big time feel player. When going to a slightly more forgiving set of irons, I think keeping the feel of a forged set of irons is ideal. I got this with the TA7's. My 7 iron yardage with them was consistently 178-182 yards, which is slightly longer than I hit the 7 iron with the AP2's. The other clubs (like I said before) were overkill. I will be playing my first 18 hole round with the irons tomorrow. I will follow up in this thread with more info as I go.
  4. I just switched from a Titleist 909 D3 to a Taylormade Burner 2.0 TP. The 910 D3 was first on my list of drivers to test out because I have hit Titleist drivers and liked them (up until my 909) for the past 4-5 years. It only took 3 balls with the 910 to realize how much I disliked it. I think it has to do with the fact that it can be adjusted at the hozzle. The driver seemed to have a different feel to it that I absolutely did not like. I am a feel player and the feel of that driver did not suit me at all. The Taylormade driver felt much better. I am not trying to sell you on the Taylormade driver by any means. Just simply giving my experience with the 910 that I hit. Good luck with your decision!
  5. Okay....so I recently went from a Titleist 909 D3 with the Aldila Voodoo shaft to a Taylormade Burner 2.0 TP with the Taylormade shaft that comes in the driver. My question is, is there anyone here that has tested this particular head with a different shaft? I was a huge fan of the Aldila VS Proto shaft that I had in my Titleist 907 D2 a few years ago, and I also have that shaft in both of my Titleist fairway woods. I am not super willing to just try out a new shaft, especially when I hit the current setup well. Just looking to see if anyone has had good luck with changing out the "Taylormade" shaft with a different brand (i.e. Aldila, UST, etc.). Thanks in advance!!!
  6. I just went from a Titleist 909 D3 with the Aldila Voodoo to the Taylormade Burner TP 2.0 with the standard "Taylormade" shaft. I love it. The white head is somewhat hard to get use to at first, but once you get use to it, it is extremely likable. I also hit the Cleveland Launcher and Titleist 910 D3, and did not like the way the ball felt off of either face. The Taylormade suited my needs for feel and ball flight, so I went with it. Good luck with your decision making!
