Take a look at the Mizuno JPX 800s. They're as long as the Burners or the Razrs with less offset and very forgiving. Unless you need the offset, these are the best sticks around in the GI category....at least in my opinion, and I tried all the same ones. A close 2nd are the Cobra S3s. I would put the AP1s at the bottom because they're not as long as the others...just as forgivng though.

Love mine. I went from the MX25s, which were great, but these give me the extra distance I was looking for (I'm 60) with the same trajectory and workability as the 25s. The sole grind on these is also an improvement. Can't say anything negative about them. They're definitely keepers and I'm as fickle as they come.

I've had my S3s for about 2 months now and love 'em. Very consistent sticks. Ball flight mid-high with the NV3 graphite regs. Usually go dead straight. Typical ball flight has been a slight draw. Picked up 1 club in distance from my Mizzy MX25s. I really like the fact that the S3s give you all the game improvement technology avaialble without the extreme offset. If there was a category for a player's game improvement iron these would head the list. I also demo'd the burners, razrs, and a few others and these had the best feel off the clubface. Another thing I really like is you get feedback when you mishit a ball but the game improvement features still do their work for you. I'm 60, s/s with driver down to high 80s, 7 index.
