  1. Heard some people who like to look good even if their not , i totaly agree with that , i think look is pretty important on a golf course . I wear a few brands on the golf course , always wearing pants , i just don't like shorts , and usually a polo , or a shirt , Im wearing Nike , Adiddas , Hugo Boss , Oakley , and off course J.Lindeberg i must say that i dress a bit flashy , pink, lime green , white , orange , are mostly what i wear most of the time .
  2. Hey Guys , I haven't talk much , but mostly reading posts all over the forums , i don't always agree with what's written but i can see people know what they're talking about :) I can't believe how many tech guys there is on here , now i know that if i have computers problems , i can go on a golf board instead :) Right now i'm a university student in canada , studying administration , and during summer i work as a golf pro , not head pro but assistant .
  3. Actually i tried calling golf Town , and some other retailers around me and most of them don't even have this shaft yet , and the few of them who have this shaft in stock , don't have any demo driver to go along with the shaft so it's actually impossible to try this shaft yet (most of the people i spoke to told me that it would take something around 4-5 month before getting driver that comes with this shaft) ,so you gotta buy it , and take a chance before you know if you'll like it or not... So i guess ill have to go with the Aldila
  4. Nah that's for sure , but i would like to have some feedback on this shaft from people who tried it , I mean if everyone hate the shaft well you are more likely to not like it either but if everyones loves it , there's a good chance that the shaft is good , doesn't mean it's gonna fit you or you're gonna like it but it has a better chance than the other shaft . I always try the shaft before buying it , the problem is that i did not find any store near me who had this shaft in stock , you gotta order it (im in canada, quebec) , and i don't wanna spend a 100$+ for a shaft i won't like . so knowing that the grafalloy prototype is a good shaft i would put energy in finding a place where they have that shaft in-stock so i can try it .
  5. I was trying to search over the internet for some review on this shaft , and i havent been able to find any so far , thing is that im looking for a pink shaft for my driver , so far i have 2 choices which are , Grafalloy Prototype Bimatrix , and Aldila NV 65 which also comes in pink. Right now the driver i use is a Titleist 905S and as for my shaft it's an Aldila NV 65S (Green) so i know that if i get the same Aldila but in pink i wont have to take any chances cause i know the shaft and it's working pretty good for me . So im just looking for some reviews or feedback from people who actually tried the shaft , or maybe a website reviewing this shaft cause so far i havent been able to find anything beside spec sheet and papers from Grafalloy.
  6. I would also recommend going to the range 4times a week instead of 2 times , like Finn said , it is not easy to hit 150 balls per session , off course anyone could do it in less than an hour probably but , it would not benefit you at all. Also i always go to the range with a specific goal in mind , dont go to the range just to hit balls , i mean sure you can do that if youre going with friends but if you are planning on working on your swing , establish some goals first . And dont go to the range unsupervised , this is probably the worst mistake most amateurs are making , it is really hard to hit balls without someone watching you and telling you what you are doing wrong , if you are not willing to spend money on a teacher , you can videotape yourself , have it analyzed once in a while by a professionnal and work on what they are going to tell you!
  7. Im not talking about drivers , i do have graphite on my driver , everyone does , im taking about irons , mostly 7 to pw , those irons who needs to go under the ball for high velocity , i broke a 9 iron and a pitch
  8. Yeah sure i mean it depends what kind of hitter you are , im am considered a big hitter , 110+mph , so when it comes to irons like , 9 iron , when you have to get under the ball and you hit some dirt its hard on the shaft , and after a while there is a greater risk of breaking , actually i broke 2 irons like that (with graphite shaft) , not on the first shot off course , but after 5-6 rounds , but anyway i am not a graphite guy either , my swing get way too fast and im just not comfortable , cause im not able to control the club properly .
  9. Actually the difference is there , someone who has a swing speed of , lets say 105 with steel shaft , if he decides to switch from steel to graphite , the speed could change from like 105 , to 125 or more , so there is no way that , this player would be able to keep control of the club at that speed , theres a good chance that he will top the ball or slice it , since his swing is way too fast and the a good chance that when it comes to like irons 7-pw since his swing speed is so fast that he will break the club , since graphite isnt as solid as steel , Graphite is made for people who have slow swings ,(usually Kids or Senior) so a person swigning at 75 with steel , by using graphite hes able increase his swing speed to match the other guy who swings at 105 with steel . So no , you dont hit less longer if you have graphite , its just a way for weaker people or people with slow swings to hit harder without having all the steel weight.
