like i said - I am not topping the ball any more - havent top a shot since i posted this... i seem to be chunking everything now... BUt you are right im going to my instructor this week, to see what he ythuinks... only problem is, when i hit if of mats at the range i raraley have this problem, unless the mats are correcting it......we'll see what the instructor says - this always seems to fix every issue I have...hes pretty good.

i never noticed different trajectories with different balls... maybe im not consoistent enough - what i do notice is my balls rolling off the green....

I have 2 hybrids that I am playing around with 1 of them i sthe taylormade burner 19* 40" graphite shaft the second is the taylormade r7 rescue draw 24* with a 40" shaft... it looks like i am hitting them both the same distance... around 190-200 on average, sometimes when the hulk gets out i get som emore.... would the shaft lengths being the same cause m eto hit them the same distance??? even though they are different lofts..... I frrl like i hit the r7 a little better than the burner.... i seem to get a much straighter ball flight... Any opinions on this???

too bad im chunking the crap out of my shots now - i ty so hard not to top it, i chunk it,... i seem to read trhis alot - but if i do keep my head down, i always make a good shot - or at least not a topped shot.....

i have the admas wedge set - they are like traditional wedges - and i hit them better than the pitching wedge that cam with my set... I lov emy wedges and for 80 bucks you cant go wrong

i believe that some equipment doesnt fit some people... you may get a set of irons and cannot hit them, buy another set that you like better and youll be happy - I agree though that if your topping the ball or chunking the ball a new set wont help, but for some things a new club could help... I had a tm driver that i could not hit for nothing - could not get the ball past 190 yards... went and bought a new driver, now im out at 225-250....and im hitting more fairways.. also my irons - I had a set of clevelands, every time i hit them id hook them, went and bought a set of mizunos, hit them side by side a the range, and it was a huge difference the mizunos were straight.... maybe its a mentalk thing - as for the money aspect.. I guess it al depends on your financial abilty... I personally do not pay full price on clubs, i buy everything used... only clubs i bought new were my putter and my burner hybrid....I think golf equipment is a very personal and mental thing.... I guess for some people its easier to throw many at the problem... i do believe lessons are the best thing money can buy though.... I have been improving drastically every time i take a lesson... its also very motivating.. this is also all my own opinion and im sure there will be someone who disagrees with me....

i just started a post on balls - the hot is a long ball.... very long... spin sucks on it, I canyt seem to get any spin off of it with my wedges.... I trioed the titleist nxt tour which seemed pretty good, just shorter than the hx hot... My favporite ball during my round yesterday was the srixon ad-333.... im going to try this again today during another round.,...

Also still a little price - the tour edge bazooka irons are supposed to be very good beginner clubs, again come with hybrids - around $349 - i believwae they are warrantied for life.

havent been able to get a sleeve of them... would like ito try though...

just got back from a round - tried out the balls - still need to play a few more orunds, but today the srixon ad-333 was AWESOME... I used the srixon, titleist, and maxfli fire....fire wasnt all that....the titlesit was pretty good too... didnt use it too much cause the srixon was just working so well for me. my driving and chipping was on today... everything else could of been better.

if you dont mind spending alittle more - the admas idea a2 set is going for like 300-400 bucks right now... comes with the idea hybrids which are awesome.... they are like 100 a piece.... get that and a descent putter you shouldny need much more... I had the idea 3 iron hybrid and could kill 220 yards on good clean hit - som epeople cant even drive that far... even if you wanted to get a driver to the adams insight driver is going for 100 bucks.... maybe more than you want to spend but you wont have to worry about quality...

id buy the one form costco over the over if you absoultely ha dto go with a complete set in a box. from what i heard the hybrid in the nicklaus set is pretty descent.... good luck

funny i hated that putter - but i think the putter is the most personal club of all.... i have been using my touredge back draft putter and I own a 250 bettinardi....

if it was as simple as me keeping my head down i wouldnt have this problem... keeping my head down is the first thing i learned from my instructor..

STAY AWAT FROM THAT SET OF RAMS!!!!! I bought that exact set at they fell apart on me... Even the bag broke.... the five irons head fell off, the zippers on the bag wouldnt close, the foam pieces on top ofthe bag fell off while on the course, and the shafts on the woods are so whippy you can go fishing with them....... the 3 and 5 wood are so big its like hitting a driver off the deck..... adams makes some good sets for cheap... also check out rockbootomgolf.com - they hav ereally good prices.... my cpousin just bought a golden bear set - the irons are OK, but the woods suck..

just went and bought a new bag - the guy have me a box of maxfli fire - for free..... im assuming these will be similar to the hx hot..... i have enough balls now to kep me occupied for a while... im going to play 18 tomorrow at eisenhower park in Long island (champions tour played there a few weeks ago) - Ill see what happens... Should be fun..

im pretty damn short - or vertically challenged........ the clubs were not custom fit.... i didnt want a fitting when i first bought my irons because i thought i would for my swing to get better.. thats why i bought forged... i hit a set of pings, which i almost bought beofre buying my current irons, only reason i didnt was because they were stif shafts, anyway the clubs were orange dot (2+ flat) also 1/4" short..... So when I bought my clubs i had them bent 2* flat which improved the direction of my ball flight immediatly, everything suddenly went straight... instead of left.... I didnt get them shortened - i figured Id wait until I had a proper fitting...... you think it may be tim eto get a fitting????

i just picked up a sleeve of nxt tours and the srixon ad-333 - anyone have any experience with ad-33 - i heard really good things....

i havent played a noodle in a while.... I remember them being very good aorund the greens but not as long as some off the tee... I may pick up a sleeve of the nxt tours... although i did hear that srixons equivelant is better - but i dont remember the name of it.....

For some reason every title wrote seemed to come out dirty - so in efforts to keep the sand trap clean - balls it is. Anyway - I bought a sleeve Callaway HX Hot balls last weekend and play 2 rounds with them. The distance was AMAZING!!! The only problem I had was these things rolling off the greens, these things would bounce twice then roll off the other end.... I have been playing the precept laddie, which for me is awesome when it hits the greens, it kind of dies as soon as it hits, but with my driver, i dont get nearly the same distance as the hx hots or a top flite for that matter... ANyone know of a ball that would give me the distance of the hot and the performance of the laddie on the green? I have a swing speed of around 95 with the driver... if that helps... Thanks
