  2. I've been Playing Golf for: ~12-15 years My current handicap index or average score is: 15 index (90 avg score) My typical ball flight is: slight draw The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: sometimes i have a large slice with my my driver, but mostly my miss is a pull hook. My club is very shut (closed) on the way back and at the top. I also tend to over-swing because my club gets to or past parallel. I feel like my arms aren't bad as my left elbow doesn't break, but my wrists tend to collapse at the top. this causes me to cast my club at the ball. out to in swing plane and a closed club face lead to a pull! I would love your thoughts on how to correct this over-swing and wrist collapse. Thanks! Videos:
  3. Hi all, I have been attempting to shorten my backswing. what I've found is that my arms don't seem to be the problem (right handed player and my left elbow stays relatively straight), but wrists really "break" at the top of my swing right before the downswing. because they break so much, my club gets parallel to the ground at the top of my swing and I feel like it makes me "cast" the club on the down swing. hopefully this description is clear when I describe it... any tips people have to help correct this are much appreciated! Thanks!
  4. Im considering buying a new driver (upgrading my Callaway FT-5). Since the R11s is on the market now, the R11 has dropped in price. From everywhere that I have looked, the R11 is listed around the same price as the RBZ. So im wondering what everyone's thoughts are on this. Would you suggest the R11 (last years model, but more technology built in than the RBZ) or the RBZ (new model & maybe the FCT technology is enough by itself). Also, im about a 16-17 handicap. Maybe that fits into the decision making process as well. Thanks!
  5. I have a Ping Zing 2 BeCu SW that I'm considering putting back in my bag. Its a holdover from a set of Zing 2's that I sold a few years ago (kind of wish I kept the set for sentimental reasons, but oh well). I didn't want to sell the SW because I always figured I would end up putting it back in my bag. Well, now may be that time. I'm currently playing S56's and Vokey wedges. My S56 PW is 47 deg and my Vokey's are 52 and 56. I was going to swap out my 56 for the Zing 2, but after looking around on the web I was surprised to find that the Zing 2 SW's loft is 52. The swap-out doesn't seem to make sense anymore because I don't want 2 52's and I don't want my Zing 2 to be my Gap wedge (it's an 18 bounce). Does that make sense to anyone? Why would the old wedges be so strong? Thanks!
  6. Any new thoughts on the S56's? Im considering getting them myself. I just demo'd a set for 2 rounds and really liked them. As advertised, they set up like a blade but are easier to hit than most blades. Plus, as your pics show, they are really sweet looking clubs. I would be switching from i5's so im a little concerned that the S56's will be difficult to hit, but based on my demo rounds, thats not the case. Didnt have any issues drawing the ball (for some reason I was under the impression that blades would be harder to draw). In fact, as I currently do with my i5's, I fought a slight low hook with the long irons (4 & 5). I think I got a few extra yards with them vs. the i5's also. Probably because of the lower ball flight. Anyway, looking forward to any thoughts you or any other S56 owners might have.
  7. But im actually having the same issue with my bag. Ive been through a couple different slot configurations and I've settled on putting my putter in the top slot since its the most convenient. I have a Cameron putter and the cover gets smashed and the velcro sticks to the bag for exactly the reason you described above. Kind of amazing when you find someone with your same issue. So anyway, any chance you can take a pic of what you did and post it?
