  2. If you get to the course half an hour before your Tee off time and hit a small bucket of balls to warm up, finding out your swing & ball flight for the day, why would you wast time on the first Tee holding the group behind you up. Thom Cooke (15.1)
  3. If you last shot was good, remember it, if it was so so or bad start thinking about the next shot, plan your shots in advance as you approach your ball, if you know what you are going to do in advance it will take away the pressure and indecision.
  4. I purchased a New Forgan of St Andrews Golf Grip & Swing Trainer the other day, to help me build up strength in the muscles used in the golf swing and my flexibility. I must admit the swing weight was more than I expected, but after a few swings it felt good and will definitely be a benefit to my game. They say a good swing starts with a good grip, this training product not only makes sure your hands are set in the perfect position but it's unique, proven weighting system helps groove your natural golf swing and improve your muscle memory, imperative for improving your game. If you are a slight build you can always un-screw the centre weight which makes the swing weight much lighter, my golf partner prefers it this way as she finds it pulls on her joints with the full weight. You can also practice your swing inside, if the ceiling is high enough. (Watch out for the light fittings though.) Now that is how you can fill in some time during the winter months. What will this training aid do for you? Improves your grip and swing path, strengthening the muscles needed for a solid swing. You can also use it for a warm-up before practice or a round. They are available in golf shops, pro shops and where I found mine, ebay.
  5. Hi fellow golfers, I live on the Gold Coast in Australia, which is a “Mecca” for golfers with around 30 courses within half an hours drive from my home. At 65 I have recently started playing golf again after a 20 year break and I’m loving it. I'm not the best golfer in the world but know the theory side of the game quite well, now I have to put everything I know into practice. I welcome any questions from other members and if I can help them I'm more than willing to give what I can. I'm looking forward to chating with others on this site.
  6. I’m not against lessons but one on one lessons cost too much. I market some online golf lessons which have helped me and a lot of my friends, that being said, I go to a Pro clinic every now and then to let someone else watch my swing and keep me on track, these are very affordable and give me what I want.
