  3. 36-39......7000+ from the back. the key was just hitting fairways, thus allowing 2nd shots.....
  4. i figured w/ the px's w/ 5.5 these would allow that little bit of flick at the bottom i'm lookind for. remember i think i'm swing'n stiff right now in the old stuff, and the 5.5 would allow that flick i'm searching for, didn't seem to work that way at the range today. i used the pw with a smooth swing to 100 yds or so. i tried to compare what i could do with my old stuff vs. this new stuff. felt too stiff, i guess i need something that allows a little more feel if i see that type of shot during a round. so with that said the 5.5 are too stiff for gentle touch-magic shots........not looking for the rigid stick in hand.............
  5. 6 years ago i bought some woods bros muclebacks on ebay for 50.00 new. also picked up some steel techology-flaming copper-steepless shafts, 4.00 each these came in r/s option. a friend probably used some basic guideline for tip trimming and then butt cutting to desired need. i've used these bad boy's to the point where i believe the shafts a kinda of bending a little at the bottom, yes a lotta of knock down shots-draw shots, i even had the 6iron break @ the range. thus confirming the issue. so now the hunt begins! walked into golfmart and found a set of mp-60 w/project x 5.5 in mint condition, figured these could be right up my alley based on some of the reading i've done. compaired them on the monitor w/ my 7 iron, all i did was swing smooth while i was in the flip-flops. old 7 = 150yds. mp = 156, he pulled up the data on the screen and all the shots looked the same, ball flight ect. soo i pulled the trigger and snagged'm.....now for the real test. if i swing'm like my old stuff it seems like i'm kinda swinging something a bit stiffer, can't figure this out since i thought i already had stiff in the woods bros. i was kinda looking for a little flick action @ the bottom like i normaly do to produce my slight draw. there was no backing off the shot with the px's and gett'n the same old ball flight. i decided to play a fade, this felt fine, loaded up and released it, of course loosing some distance and increasing the height....i could do this all day, but i'm not digging the fade all the time. so now my wife is wondering why i'm gonna list these on ebay. i'm look'n @ the kbs-c tapper shafts as an option. i like the tapper shafts and the satin would match the wood bros forged irons since i blasted them with a blaster at work, sweet satin finish. i know the site list 5-iron distance and suggest which shaft to use, but this didn't seem to work for the 5.5 in my quest. current info on the wood bros ...... pw=135, 9i=145, 8i=155, 7i=165, ect...these # are with my old crapy shafts which seem to be tip stiff-mid/high flex. so give me some feed back fellow golfers. my current thought's are c-tapper in r-flex for some reason?
  6. i see the kbs-c only comes w/ a tapper option. can i place these into my woods bros forged 370 parr irons.
