  1. I played an early round of golf this morning. On the 7th hole I had a great shot onto the green. A few moments later a coyote came out of the brush, walked across the green, picked my ball up and carried it off the green where he spit it out. My buddy caught it on video. It was awesome. If you watch this full screen, you'll see the coyote pick up the ball and walk away. So, anyone want to guess what the ruling is on this?
  2. I did my first golf bender. Drove 4 hours south Sunday night, golfed 36 holes in 60 degree weather near Vegas (at home the ground is covered by a foot of snow) and drove 4 hours home that night for work the next day. Played some of the worst golf on the best courses, and had a great time with some good buddies. Shot a 95 in the morn, 98 in the afternoon -- I spent a lot of time looking for golf balls in sage brush. :-) Can only improve from here. C'mon spring.
  3. All, I'm reading the book Zen Golf and I'm wondering if anyone else has read it. Did you like it? What was the best thing you took away from the book? I've never messed much with the mental side of golf, but I'm realizing how much difference it can make after listening to this book. Am I wrong? http://www.amazon.com/Zen-Golf-Mastering-Mental-Game/dp/0385504462/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie;=UTF8&qid;=1326924901&sr;=1-1 mm
  4. New to the community and am pretty much obsessed with golf (as I hope and expect many of you are too). Right now I'm normally skiing but the snow hasn't started falling in earnest yet so my mind is still on golf. I'm in the middle of changing my bag around and trying to get some new equipment that will complement my game this year. #49 on my bucket list is to break 80 and I figure this year is as good a year as any to do just that. I went out and played golf last week and the ground was frozen so hard I couldn't get a tee in far enough to stay up. I had to tee off with my 3w. :-) Stopping the balls on the green was like trying to get them to stick in a Walmart parking lot. I look forward to chatting with you all and would be happy to give back to the community in any way I can.
  5. 2 Questions: I'm from Utah and golf a lot here at higher altitudes (apx 4-5K ft). Planning on going to play in Auburn, AL. I've never played at sea level. Question 1 - How much difference in club distance is there at sea level, and Question 2 - where should I play in Auburn, AL? If it helps, here are a couple of rough distances that I play at my elevation: 3wd - 250 4hyb - 220 5i - 200 8i - 160 pw-130 52 deg - 100-120 56 deg - 60-100 thx
